The original Poppy Seed track was released in 1998 though. It could have been remixed that year and then not given a public release until 2001.

According to Discogs, Poppy Seed was released in 2001. https://www.discogs.com/artist/12715-Slag-Boom-Van-Loon :]

the original is from '98:

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but looks like https://www.discogs.com/user/electricluddite also uploaded a CD copy of Twoism? https://www.discogs.com/Boards-Of-Canada-Twoism/release/10788498 Hadn't seen that before, but I could be mistaken.

Also, does this mean that digital versions of Red Moss, Carcan, and Whitewater are realistic possibilities in this universe?

Looks like the picture on the back of the maxima CD does exist out there somewhere, albeit in lower quality and mirrored. http://bocpages.org/w/images/BOC-band-26.jpg

An older version of the official BOC website did list a cd version of Maxima (opothecary already posted this link https://web.archive.org/web/20010619011708fw_/http://www.boardsofcanada.com:80/discog_maxima.html on page 1 of this thread) so in that regard digital versions of those tracks have always been a possibility, albeit a very remote one . . .

Isn't the current FLAC rip of Maxima floating around supposedly sourced from a CD-r copy or am I misremembering? I remember that CD-r supposedly being sourced from a cassette but that could be true for this official CD-r too.

That was a CD-R recording of a cassette (Yes, CD recorders exist)

Well, now we have a very important question answered.

"Remix" is like "Octopus." The plural of "remix," is not "remixes," it is "remii."

Now if only we could get a nice clean digital rip of the Boc Maxima CD, which I don't believe we have ever seen photographic evidence of before.

And speaking of unknown releases, what on earth is this
https://www.discogs.com/Boards-Of-Canad ... e/10258275
meant to be?

recorded live on a pleasant evening before the millenium

I would really like to know... And what's with tracks 3, 6, and 7?

i'm inclined to believe this because of how banal it is, anyway.

Not quite as bad as when we thought "Oirectine" was "Directline" though, eh?

Well spotted! That explains the 'before the millenium' thing. Certainly a bootleg, then. But I am intrigued as to whether it is the same recording that is already known, or a different one with a few more tracks at the end.
