What are the main differences from the released version, and does anyone else think that this along with 'XYZ' may be the tracks included on the Warp20 box set?

It's well-documented that the version broadcast was not the same as the version released, and it's presumably the imperfections and less-focused structure that are the very reason it became known as "Bad Day", subsequently being re-recorded. See here for more info:

I'd say it's impossible to create such an edit from the released version. Agreed, the background loop in the intro is out of time, but the hat pattern on top of it is quite clearly fine. Or check out the ending, where the "flutey" melody can be heard on it's own, without the drums or backward voice. In the released version that doesn't happen anywhere in the track; there are no drums, but the reverse voices are always present.
Not arguing... just discussing.

Yes, this is correct. I recorded it directly from the radio when the Peel Session was first broadcast, and I posted the recording on here when it was discussed a couple of years ago.

I love Happy Cycling, when that synth kicks in about 5 mins in, never fails to send tingles down my spine - it's one of those tracks that's great to listen to on the go, like '..Balloon' or 'Dawn chorus' - seems to compliment your surroundings wherever you are.

Neat! Only a few years late? Where is the rest of it? What did you use to record it?
staggx wrote:Anyone know where the title "Bad Day" originated? Was it the title actually given out by Peel on the original broadcast?
At the risk of asking the obvious (apologies if it's been discussed somewhere before), do you think that the short, clipped, recurring voice sample (first happening at 1'32" in this version, 1'35" in the official release) is actually saying "Bad Day"?
Tracklist

* Happy Cycling (Changed From Bad Day)
