Creepiest BoC Song?

What Boards of Canada song do you guys find the creepiest?

The Devil is in the Details - That voice will follow me until the day I die. Listen to this song in a very big room with all the lights turned out!

Side B - Audiotrack 8, Old Tunes Vol. 1 - If you haven't heard this track in a while or don't own he mp3, I suggest you check it out. I think this is what hell would sound like

House of Abin'adab
- This track gives me the feeling that I am in a basement with no lights on and someone is watching me

Wendy Miller - Has a very creepy rythm to it , almost evil

Beware The Friendly Stranger - The faint sound of children screaming in the backround reminds me of pain and suffering in a twisted way

The Smallest Weird Number
- Has Evil Intentions

Opening The Mouth - The voice mixed with the flutes is hypnotizing

I Saw Drones - Creepy in a Twilight Zone kinda way

You Could Feel The Sky - Just.... Weird....

Geogaddi is definitely there most creppy/claustrophobic album they've released. Oh, and just to let people know I do listen to all these I just think they are a bit more darker than some of there other stuff

gyroscope

mostly because of the origins of the "number station" sample that is used

in my album listing on winamp i have: a few old tunes, a few old tunes side a, a few old tunes side b, old tunes, old tunes - volume 02 side a, old tunes - volume 02 side b, old tunes 2, and old tunes volume 2

and they're all mislabeled as shit! i wonder if anyone has a complete library of correctly labeled old tunes to download somewhere. i'm really sorry but i just can't do that shit myself. i'm not into that CSI connect-the-dots compare-the-tracklengths kind of thing, it does my head in and it's not the reason i like boards of canada :p

statue of liberty

first it's like, ooh, this is melancholy, i feel like i'm on ellis island locked in the visitor center all alone

then the piano comes in and it's like oh wow this is kind of bizarre

then the guitar and it's like holy shit suddenly it's dark as hell

That short clip of "Circle" sounds sinister.

i have a short clip labeled as Duffy that i -think- came off the old site. this is the music that plays right after your parents both die in a car wreck and you're standing in a field watching smoke pour out of a ditch. it is totally an intensely alienating, alone feeling.

corsair is kinda scary, but I think it's a more sad and depressing song

Diving Station on the other hand is pretty terrifying

You Could Feel the Sky (this one takes the cake in my mind, no doubt)
Gyroscope

Some songs are so extremely melancholy that it's almost disturbing, like:
Finity
Sixtyniner
Twoism
Skimming Stones

that track is lol. it sounds like a soundtrack to a low budget horror film from the 80s.

House of Abin'adab is the only one that creeps me out. that track ruins everything when i'm using old tunes as sleeping music. :<

The drones in Why's remix are so freaking creepy, and in typical BOC style, strangely beautiful.

Definitely think this is going to be the direction BOC are going to take.. bore of a band kind of approach with clearer bass lines and stuff but with one or two layers giving it a completely different edge.

diving station is really creepy but starts so pretty
i hear a fan being slowed down and then reversed. sounds like someone is speaking into it and they speed it up and reverse it
absolutely freaky

creepy songs i really like are you could feel the sky and Alpha and Omega

Great thread. The creepy factor in BOC's music seems to get overlooked quite a bit.

I love that we're mostly all in agreement on House Of Abin'adab. The name always reminds of me of that old nintendo game called 8 Eyes. All the levels in said game were name "House of" this or "House of" that.

Circle is definitely on my list.

I've always thought Gyroscope was pretty frightening, listening to it on acid sealed the deal.

Corsair
Beware The Friendly Stranger
In The Annex
You Could Feel The Sky
Oirectine

All creepy tracks.

I will also add Statue Of Liberty... but not till that guitar comes in! I LOVE how off time and out of tune it sounds! Creates a wonderfully frightening sound!

you can feel the sky is kinda creepy for sure.
so is gyroscope, whoa, but what an amazing track. even happy cycling is a little ominous.

maybe you guys will think i'm crazy, but I always skip '84 Pontiac Dream. I wouldnt say it's creepy, but it makes me feel uneasy for some reason.
