as younger generations discover Boards of Canada, do you think that their music will have the same effect on them as it does the generations who grew up in the 60's, 70's, 80's and even 90's. I am not trying to say that you had to have grown up at a certain time, to understand BoC, but would those warm-nostalgic-fuzzy memories still happen to the generation that grew up in the 2000's. with the digital photography and video, it seems like that aspect would be missing for them. I, for instance am reminded of old PBS tv shows like sesame street and 3,2,1 contact. maybe the natural memories might be triggered, such as my memories of driving to my grandmothers house every friday evening and watching the electrical pylons go by.
sorry, i kinda ramble, but im just curious what your opinion would be towards this.
