Does anyone know where to listen to the previous SKAM broadcasts? I’m I remembering right that some people thought there was some peculiar music towards the end of the set?

The one I did? you crazy man, aw shucks.
Oh you must mean Negamuse' tune yeah?

And I was just being pedantic about the hex colour, as a printer/designer by trade ;)
You could feel the bullshit

I’ve watched a few of them end. So far there’s been references to rainbows, space a few times, and a video with wind towers viewed through a kaleidoscope it seemed. It’s worth dropping in for the last hour or so before it finishes.

Warp Records shared a photo of a 'The Incredible Warp Lighthouse Party' ticket.

Why did they share it today? Because the ticket says 14th October 2000. But it is 24th of October today, so 20 years + 10 days. And of course, there are more artist playing that night. But also the bro's. And it's been a while since they shared something related to them.

I just find it very odd, why didn't they post it on the exact date when it was 20 years ago. I mean..

Maybe it's just me..

As I've said and many people have said, a lot of weird coincidences and connections happening lately. It's unclear if they're building up to something or it's people taking the piss out of the BOCmaniacs on here.

I will say this, BOC kind of dug themselves in a hole with their great Tomorrow's Harvest campaign. Because now I feel there's a lot of obligation for them to do some amazing, cryptic campaign again. I think they've crossed the "event horizon" of releasing things and can't go back lol

That said, I have a good feeling, IF something is happening, that's it's going to be huge. And it won't just be an album release. It'll probably be some giant multi-media event. Perhaps our very own "red-moon" party before they vanish forever on Jan 22nd. ;)

Wishful thinking of course, but hey, it's fun to do so!

Also just a disclaimer: this post IS just wishful thinking. I don't know for certain if anything will happen. I'm just theorizing that BOC probably have something big planned when they finally reappear, whenever that is

They “retweeted” a guy’s Instagram post about attending the event. He posted this with a little story after the anniversary, and they then amplified his post. You can read the post on Instagram. So it wasn’t really a calculated thing by warp—but it is interesting that they later tweeted the ticket stub and directions to the venue with the label “October 2000.”

This is exactly why I think the announcement of their next album will be a simple press release announcing a date and title. Everyone is looking for the mysticism and BoC hit them with the exact opposite.

Not only that. I remember he album felt somehow sad almost tragic at the time it was released. But somehow also comforting. It is also felt honest. So everything that went in to that release campaign felt natural and not forced. First april arg. The official announcemt. Then release. And then their represses. For the first time listeners, like my self, this was a perfect storm to be introduced in to their music and e-community.

Invert the image - you get a turquoise hexagon sun [rising or setting]???

Would be cool if this was either symbolic of BOC rising out of the darkness or finally setting on the cold earth for the last time.

I'm down either way. Just as long as I can finally be around to see my favorite band in action :D

I thought the TH campaign was more down to the label and marketing company, not something BoC themselves had planned out, they just gave the OK for it to marketed this way.

Eg that video aired on adult swim isn't a Hexagon Sun production or anything.

A couple of peeps have mentioned a possible live return for the boys - unlikely, but you never know.

It would be really unlucky for them to finally plan to return to a stage somewhere this year, after such a gap. To work up a cool show, light display and imagery - and then when they were on the point of announcing it, they got caught out by Covid like the rest of the planet.

This isn't the first time they've felt dug in either. Reading this, I was reminded of an interview they did around the release of the Campfire Headphase.

Marcus: We realized that there are some people who would listen to our records but instead of listening to the music they would start looking for some hidden things immediately.

Mike: People will look for secret things now in this record even if there aren't any.

Might as well apply this to their release campaigns.

Speculation + time = endless rumination

They absolutely had a major hand in developing the Tomorrow's Harvest ARG. They talked in interviews about how they were inspired to do it by wanting to recreate the excitement of discovering new music, and discussed how they had friends helping them out with it.

Hi Twoism. It's been a while since I last posted (though I have been lurking a lot more since Societas!)

Am I reading too much into this tweet, do you think?

Would they give a promo box set to someone from pitchfork ahead of time?

As it happens, it definitely isn't BoC and I was just silly and overexcited

Hope you're all well at Twoism, either way!

Who is it then?

These are the only two box sets coming out I remember reading about.

“Elton John is reaching deep into the vault with Jewel Box, a new, super-sized collection of rare and unreleased material November 13”.

“The 10-CD Neil Young Archives, Volume 2: 1972-1976 box set will be released on November 20”.
