I just recently downloaded the 35 tracks album and since the majority of them don't have names I decided to give them names, hope no one frowns upon this.

This thread helped me a lot http://www.twoism.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6940

Here's my track listing
Side A|
1 - Uprise
2 - She Is P
3 - Sparrowhead
4 - Inward Empire
5 - Finity
6 - 5D (it's easier to remember)
7 - Karageorge
8 - X,Y
9 - Lavender Trapezoids
10 - Chetek
11 - Blueberry
12 - Gridlock
13 - National Guard
14 - Hexagon
15 - I Will Get It Tattooed
Side B
1 - pH
2 - In A Syntax Error
3 - House of Abin'adab
4 - Trinity Airways
5 - Skykomish
6 - Pacal
7 - Platinum Sun
8 - Deepwater Horizon
9 - LCD
10 - Smallest Weird Number (reversed)
11 - The Golden Ratio
12 - 1982
13 - Davie Addison
14 - Cumulonimbus
15 - Binary Vision
16 -Parallelodrone
17 - It's Too Orangey
18 - Aquamarine
19 - Command Center
20 - Lunar Control

This was purley for my own use, I did not put any of these titles on the web, I hate inaccurate titles as much as the next guy.

holy crap!! yes!! i did this too.

I stuck with one-word names and simply listened to each song and wrote the first word that popped in my head.

Especially if you share this on any p2p network... sigh. Or if you scrobble it to last.fm.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

I advice everyone to NOT do this and delete all those fake ID3 tags immediately in order not to pollute the internet anymore with yet again fake boc track titles.

OMG! Why have you done it? I saw the same thread - some people had their own title track list for 35 random tracks tape album - i can't remember where it is currently located...

I agree - worst idea ever (

I've titled only confirmed tracks by bocpages :)

though they're by no means obliged to do this, I think it would be a good idea, in my opinion, for BoC or someone close to the band to provide titles for these compositions. fakes and mislabeled tracks by BoC are of no use to either the fans or indeed BoC themselves.

Though i can fully understand that since they didn't choose to release some of this work into the wider public domain they may be reluctant or simply not fussed about acknowledging them, the fact remains that the tracks are 'out there' and it would be helpful to have them properly attributed to the composers with original titles. Just a thought anyway.

As for renaming the tracks for your own amusement, why not? Just don't share or scrobble them with new titles - that would be a bad move.

what's the problem if people aren't "scobbling", "uploading" or otherwise sharing their tags? My music folders are not connected to the internet in any way.

Feel this is a slight over-reaction from some people here. Worst idea ever? That was Moby, surely.

BAHahahahahahaha oh that's priceless. Yeah, I would say as long as folks aren't uploading or sharing the names, it really isn't a problem.

The 'Random 35 Tracks Tape' is unable to scrobble on last.fm anyway.

Just so everyone knows, I don't share on file sharing networks, I wouldn't want to give anyone misleading titles anyway, these were just because I didn't like looking at just track 23.

And I did leave the track number just so I could remember what track they were if I were to discuss it, no one would know what the hell I was talking about if I referred to track 7 as Karageorge.

But if you rename the "track 01" to a custom name it will get scrobbled. And then Last.FM will think it belongs to "Random 35 Tracks Tape" as that's written in the album id3-field.

I still think it's the worst idea ever, but I should not have omitted the if-statement. So I'll rephrase it.

It's the worst idea ever IF and only IF you share those tracks on any p2p network and/or scrobble those tracks on services like Last.FM

The last thing we want is yet again another bunch of fake titles on the internet which will cause people to get even more confused...

PS: I didn't torrent it, I downloaded it so I don't think it gets shared on the internet anyway.

I too, do not share music or these renamed tracks or anything similar to that. its completely for my own enjoyment and imagination. so calm down everyone, and don't just assume things like that.

Your idea is bad and you should feel bad not just because of the inaccurate tags thing but primarily because you think you have the right to rename someone else's songs all willy-nilly like that.

Dude, It's not like I hacked into itunes and renamed every track on Geogaddi, the tracks didn't even come with names and I wanted an easier way to remember the tracks than just calling it track 5, that just isn't that easy for me to memorize. I know some of you may prefer it to have no labels, but you don't have to be a complete dick about it!
