It's been, what?, six years since the last release? MDG has pretty much fallen off the map. Their web site is dormant. Warp has been silent.


What evidence is there they are still a working band or that there will be any new releases forthcoming? All the statements that we've hung our hats on previously have come and gone with nothing.

Welcome to the forum. This shit have been speculated over 200 pages for now. Will there be a new BoC? It is highly speculative.

On the positive side, they haven't said that they aren't working on new material.

Jesus Christ, Patience. This has been said a thousand times "There is other music other than BOC out there". They always update their myspace saying In The Studio, and thats their way of telling us that they haven't Stop producing music. Just wait for it!

i don't think we should berate this guy (unless he's been a long-time lurker. in that case, shame on you!)..

but, yeah. we've been talking about a new release since the last release (and we're bound to do the same if/when the new.. anything comes)

there's a fair bit of evidence that suggests they are still active, and a lot of it is in the.. 200-page long.. novella that is "the general speculation" topic

but it's been a long 6 years, and, while i've only been here for about 3 of them, i've seen many-a-thread about DO THEY STILL EXIST

I don't see why the fact that I'm wondering about the status of a band means that I don't listen to any other music. Of course I do. Yet, I still wonder what is up with them. Don't you?

And I've been patient. Everyone has. I think after six years it's fair to ask for an update.

BoC is still a person, place or thing to some degree, in some way shape or form.

In one month it'll be a YEAR since the black box appeared. So in 1 month nothing will happen (my guess) and by end of 2012 people here will say "patience people! It will come in 2013" repeat, 2014, so on.

I'm starting to disbelieve in any further BoC content, but then I have to remind myself that at least we got any. Imagine how much incredible music will never be even released to the public, by even more reclusive artists who never put out any of their material (there are tons, I theorize).

I'm sure that if they were done, they'd announce it.
