They released some great tracks ( for example nomon and the selftitled album), but it is very quiet at the moment on the loess front, does someone have information about a new release or what they are up too nowadays?
Thanks!

I bought the self titled album about a year ago cause it was recommended for Boc fans, but I found it quite boring and nothing grabbed me from it. As for a new release I have no idea.

I have huge expectations on Loess and their future! There a lot of talent in them, and they will probably get better and better.
As derail said, some tracks they've made are quite boring.. but the soundscapes they create are always unique and within their own beautifully rich realm. Deeeep..
I adore their darker tracks like 'cyanor', 'schoen', 'troper' and 'mosse'. Other faves are 'lull' and 'nomon'.
And, oh! They're releasing a new album soon,

Just listened to some samples and it sounds WAY better than the first album. The sound is more polished and cohesive even though it's not really origional. Strikingly similar to Arovane, which is'nt a bad thing.

No this is a
really sweet compilation album. If you want to get acquainted with the lush sounds of Loess this is your entry ticket! I <3 this kind of downtempo idm.
"Loess uncovers thirteen tracks including previously unreleased material, released rarities/remixes, and several new compositions. The compilation burrows summarizes the past eight years of the loess sound (2000-2008). This collection includes Loess' reworkings of original tracks by Gridlock, Tobias Lilja, and Quench among others along with other original Loess tracks previously only available on vinyl. The latest Nonresponse output also contains five previously unreleased tracks, including two new compositions that point to future inclinations. burrows spans the Loess sonic landscape; it is both an essential release for fans of the Loess sound, and a perfect introduction for first time listeners. "
Tracklist:
01. lull
02. schoen
03. troper
04. fascine
05. tranter
06. bud
07. selkuth
08. spetaelska
09. nyckel
10. thresh
11. nomon

Sorry, but what is it with labels not posting audio previews on their sites? It's one of the worst marketing blunders out there in the music industry, IMO. Very easy to fix as well. It's as if some labels are genuinely oblivious to how most people listen to/discover music these days, especially in the electronic genre.
That said, I'm mostly complaining because I really would like to hear this. 3D Concepts is brilliant...if this comes anywhere close, I'd gladly grab a copy (if I could hear it).
P.S. N5MD know the score...listening to the new album now. Very very good, judging by the previews...definitely buying.

I feel a bit silly now for being drunk and posting this but: Such a coincidence!
This morning my dear friend Syberia tried to queue some nice old Loess tracks on Spotify and everything was as usual (only album Wind And Water available). But now, in the evening as we are having one of our music nights we discovered that the self-titled album Loess and Burrows are up on Spotify. Wickeeed!
Soo, we just feel that if there is still somebody on this forum who has Spotify and hasn't heard particularly the tracks Lull and Cyanor, do it noooow!
