Just because I listen to stuff like BoC and Skinny Puppy doesn't mean I'm above stuff like this:

something about this song is so so magical, i can't deduce exactly what makes it such but it feels otherworldly. pure recording of emotion, no instruments involved

Listening to Pink Turns Blue's new album "Tainted". Not quite as good as "Phoenix" or "Ghost", which fit perfectly with post-punk/new wave revival of the mid 2000s, but it has more of a coldwave leaning which I suppose fits with the times well enough. I'll have to give it a few more listens.

Just rediscovered this hauntingly beautiful Macedonian song, "Zajdi, zajdi, jasno sonce," by Aleksandar Sarievski. To put it briefly, the lyrics observe in sadness how both the singer and the forest grow older, though only the forest grows back new leaves.

Possibly one of the best non-radiohead tracks Thom Yorke has made. (with help from Nigel Godrich, Flea & Joey Waronker)

I've definitely switched to listening to more wintery music over the last couple of weeks (along with switching to drinking Guinness, stopping wearing my "summer" trainers and digging out the wooly cardie - all without actively choosing to do so, it just seems like the *right* thing)

And it's DEFINITELY Nick Drake season...
