Good bass line and hectic drumming, but the break towards the latter half felt a little unnecessary/flow breaking to me. The vocalizing didn't stick out too much to me.

I try to be succinct with my reviews lest I start sounding like Cal Chuchesta

I felt really involved in the whole structure of the track.
Strangely though, the main guitar noodling in the first minute made me think of post-roger waters Pink Floyd. It sounded very much like David Gilmour to me, an improv take maybe off The Division Bell.

I did like how it progressed, with the glitchy pitch shifted beats and clattering drums.
I should say, from other Infected Mushroom tracks I've heard, I expected a more fast tempo halfway and some wobbly bass, so I got a shock when just as I thought it was leading up to that...

Surprise!!! Violins! "Oh... that's new!"

Although the it kept me on tenterhooks and I was hoping for a bit more staying power and "oomph", It is a great journey and I'll definitely give it a few more listens. (I like this side of Infected Mushroom. :) )

I tried, but I just don't think I can adequately rate/review this one as it's just outside of my music preferences. A rhythm section is a pretty important element for me. :|

I never played the games as a kid, so I just associate this with RebelTaxi. Decent loop music, but a bit too short for me.

Dark and groaning, then infernal. Some of the vocals were a bit too phasered, maybe it's the upload quality. I like how it sticks with the main melody throughout, really gives you no breather or compromise.

I'm a bit late to writing this, I'd imagine your description on point (given I have never experienced the era or the game.)
Rather bizarrely it was the soundtrack to a sitcom. Let me recommend giving the full Green Wing soundtrack by Trellis a play. Hypnotic and quirky turntablism, uncategorisable. (The music itself is a feeling. :D)

I quite like it but it's leaning towards background ambient too much for me, good droning chords, unfortunately the track doesn't leave much an impression. 4.5/10

Stylistically it's very nice, but lyrically I didn't relate much, but that's just me. Funnily it reminded me of "Signal of Loneliness" from the SE Lain soundtrack, maybe it was the fade out.

It's cool. I think it sounds a bit too generic, just in terms of hardware used and the way in which they were used, but I quite like the structure & overall composition of it. I especially like the melodic break and the ending bit where things get atmospheric. It's dope. 7/10.

Very sleazy vocals, he reminds me somewhat of Tricky, the Massive Attack producer and Bristol M.C. I don't know if you're familiar, I hear it as a bit of a trip-hop throwback.
The song also has a few things going for it that I really love, it's one underlying beat and atmosphere morphing itself ever so slightly for each verse. A few different layers, harmonies and rhythms. Not a very distinct chorus, still wriggles and worms it's way in though.
For a quite minimal song of 7 minutes it's keeping my attention, thanking you for introducing!!
You get yersel a 9.5, nearly a ten from Len.

I went through a big nirvana/AiC phase in high school, still haunting to listen to today. Would have loved to hear a fully realized studio version.

This is a grand example of the "Nu Wave" of new-wave as you call it , would fit very snugly in the lush disco electropop scene of the 80s, but I'm pigeonholing.
I do hear all the washes of synth, and bubbling effectings even after the song stops playing. In that regard, the production hits a sweets spot that I don't get often.
Nothing seems out of place, very fun and tight sounding, I'd like moar.

To be honest, I find this mildly interesting but unengaging overall. It wasn't a bad listen per se, but not my cup of tea, by far. The time signature feels unusual but the song flows well which is often the mark of good musicianship, the sound of the vocals fits nicely with the instrumental, it's a poppy song without being too derivative. The ending left me underwhelmed. Overall, the song certainly has good qualities, but I don't think I would remember it or want to put it on again. Let's say 4/10

You know, way back in June your post found me a new comedy music artist to love. I only had exposure to Tom Cardy from when he used to post on reddit (I know), through to his new fame in the millions, but Jazz Emu gave me a new lease of listening to this genre. So I say he really has NO bad tracks, with impeccable melody and synthesized production and wordplay, I absolutely love his work now. Thanks ya, I might never have discovered this pocket wizard of comical pop.
