GH wrote:To be fair to TTK, he's one of the very very few who actually goes to the trouble of listening to music posted in this thread by users so new that they've not made a post anywhere else in the forum yet.

He may also (kinda justifiably in my opinion) make his feelings known on the idea of users making such posts, but anybody making music & posting on forums knows that a little flack is to be expected if you sign up to a music forum and say here's my music, cheerio in your first post.

The bottom line is TTK regularly listens to the music in this thread & offers constructive criticism regardless, while most other users ignore it. So I'm gonna take this opportunity to say thanks man, I appreciate it! :)

TTK is a nice guy. He also is pretty straightforward with you when he gives you his opinion. I agree about users just sort of ignoring things. I've not really listened to as much as I could in this thread, but I usually will comment and listen a bit whenever I see a new twoismer post their latest release and nobody has replied (in a separate thread). That makes me sad because it's not even a work in progress thing anymore.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

I'm trying to get out of the habit of posting all my new music straight away. So there is at least some amount of unheard stuff if I choose to do a release at any point in the future.

Agreed, I'm there sitting, waiting for this dusty Dilla style beat to drop and Doseone to rhyme a few.

I was reading through this post to see if anyone had replied to what I sent over, and after seeing where that one guy posted a load of his songs out of nowhere, and seeing the reaction he got, that kind of inspired me to attempt at replying. Seeing that you and a few others gave feedback, I'd feel like a jerk if I didn't reply. I'm just really lazy

@TTK, I definitely get the vibe you're talking about. I don't know if I even want to keep those drums on the track or not. I ran all the sounds through this filter mod plugin called "chipcrusher", and it made everything sound really murky. I was listening to that one SK Dreams track, Ice Dream Van and got inspired to make something in a similar vein. But I think a different type of drum beat may fit better. More than likely, the current drums would just be a secondary backbeat or something.

@GH, the song is nowhere near done, but I totally agree with you. It might be the opener to The Seventh Volume, if I ever actually get that going haha.

@747Music, that's exactly how it is, too. It's like you can't ever be bothered to go back and try finishing the song you started the other night. Instead, why not just start a new project to leave sitting on your HD for 5 months? And thanks man. All the keyboard sounds are from my Casiotone MT-70 (a recent addition that I love).

I wanted to share a track from my project Beach Babes, been working on material for a debut release about a year now. I would love to get feedback on what some like minded individuals think. Here is a track called "Impossible Geometry".

That was quite nice. I loved the ending little bit especially.

Hahahahaa! I have to say in all seriousness: Try to find music that sounds like Flamingo Pudding. It just doesn't exist. If you want a fresh, and awesome, experience look no further than our pink, delicious friend, Hendrik.

Haha, right? I thought it would be a hilarious name because if you were to just google "beach babes" you would be bombarded with babes, even if you weren't necessarily asking for it. Also, a kind of funny play on "The Beach Boys". Cheers man! More here if you're interested to take a peek...

That's awesome! And another really cool mini-song-piece ending. I'm sold. What are your plans for this project? Do you have an album in the works? an EP?

Pretty cool mixture of layed back and aggressive, mix has depth
It's a bit aggressive for my personal taste but I do appreciate it's quality
Good luck

you've really been prolific lately, haven't you?

I like this one a lot, almost akin to Atari Teenage Riot.

Thanks! Yeah, we have a 7 track EP we are going to release as soon as we get all the mixes perfected. There are a couple tracks that need some fine tuning. Here is another one to wet your whistle... :P

Here is my latest effort, spent a lot of time getting the bass just right (about 20 takes and a right load of stress and grief haha) - synthy and electronic but also a lot of organic recordings layered in reversed, chopped up etc.

If anyone has listened to my stuff posted on here before I'd probably describe it as synth pop, but in a non cheesy way (I hope at least haha)
