New one up.

Warning: It's very noisey!

Yo, my African American brothers, I have a new track up.
If you're one of those people who like the sound to have all these little nick nacks and things you can only hear through repeated listens, go in with an open mind, cause it's a very sparse and slow track.
btw I'm rather proud of it, too. So if it wouldn't kill ya, could you please tell me what you thought of it. I promise I won't bite your head off.

I love you all.

Thu Mar 13, 2008 5:29 am

great stuff man, I don't know why I haven't posted here earlier to tell you that. I added you.

Thu Mar 13, 2008 6:30 am

Thanks for the add, man.
Any comments on the new track?
What you liked about it, what I could do better etc (besides being BoC >_>)

hmmm, not sure, it sounds awesome as is. I'm starting to see BoCs point when they dont listen to reviews or feedback. Make your music as your own getaway place, your 'safe place' and it doesn't matter what others think. Some people will connect with it and see it for what you made it for, others will want you to change it somehow to fit their taste. But it's YOUR own music, as long as you like how it sounds, and all you put into it is your own. Once you start changing it due to others feedback, it's almost no longer yours, but belongs to those who told you what to do with it. It's no longer what you intended it to be. know what i mean?

I'm not saying shut down ALL feedback, but be careful who is giving it to you and what kind of feedback. you don't wanna change the original feeling or idea of the song.

Don't know if that's what your looking for exactly. I cant sleep again, its 3:30AM, and it may be my fluctuating IQ talking. (yes my IQ rises and falls due to a strange case of bipolar, sometimes I cant make even the most simple decision, sometimes I see the universe all at once. According to tests I average around 130-145 on a 'normal' day, 85-100 on a 'bad' day, and the rare spell of the high 'good' day has not yet been 'clocked', sometimes it can change in the matter of minutes) and i don't know which way it is now.

but your music is great, keep up the good work.

this. 747 just articulated the post that I've started to write and then abandoned several times in this thread now, except for the bit about being bipolar. work on it till you're happy, then feedback is largely irrelevant. I don't even have a myspace, i don't really have any desire to promote my shit since for me making music is just an extension of the pleasure of listening to music. You may well be different of course, but your own sincerity and enjoyment in your music is THE important thing in making it good for others.

thank you for agreeing. tons of my stuff I probly wont ever be able to release cuz I've just completely warped songs that already exist and thus would be breaking copyright laws, but I will continue to do this more than make original songs. Why? because of what you said. "making music is just an extension of the pleasure of listening to music."

You said what Hills already said earlier in this topic, but with more words.
I already completely agree with you guys.

I asked for feedback as like, you wouldn't want to go without feedback completely, you'd like the breif bit of it now and again.

cool man!

also,
I'd play some of your music on my radio show if you sent me a .zip of a bunch of your tracks!

I'd like to send you some tracks too if you wouldn't mind taking a look at them. Where can I access your show/podcast?

Sat Mar 15, 2008 6:13 am

Nice job TTK on the new ones. I can tell you're getting much better at making your music flow better and it's sounding really good.

You CAN find them yourself, can't you?

Plus, I have my myspace link in my signature.

It would just be helpful if you got together an organized .zip of some of your recent tracks and send me a link, so I don't have to go and find each individual one.

Tue Mar 18, 2008 5:35 am

But you do have the Barramundi and Marshmallow .zip's, right?

Wed Mar 19, 2008 2:40 am

Okay now I have both. Excellent...

Wed Mar 19, 2008 4:56 am

And now, for you, or anyone who wants most of my recent tracks (plus a few b-sides to Marshmallow and Barramundi) in a handy .zip file, here they are.
I pretty much just got a bunch of tracks, enough to fit on a CD for you people who like to put things on CD. No thought was taken into the 'album' title, the order in which the tracks appear nor have I created any artwork.

A Random Collection

There you go.
