Let's be honest, my appreciation for rap has hit just about rock bottom lately. Either I'm too old for this stuff or I've moved on or something but lately I just can't take rap seriously anymore.
I've always been ambivalent about Shadow's work with rappers.
This is just Shadow's work with rappers generalized into a career shift. And I hate it. I realize that's a personal problem. though. Maybe you'll like it.
Actually, there sounds like there is some more promising stuff towards the end. But it is sure as hell not as holistically great as well, anything else he's put out. But I'll have to listen to it again later as I have to go to work.
I dunno. You guys check it out and tell me what you think. It's pretty readily availible on Slsk.
