https://scntstlab.bandcamp.com/album/aReally enjoying Skee Mask's new album of b-sides. A great, varied mix of ambient, breakbeat, and minimal techno tracks. I especially dig the second track, 'Korarchaeota'.
All the proceeds go to Ukraine support as well, which is nice.

Crumb - Jinx (2019)
Blissfully psychedelic. Probably some of the most hypnotic and hallucinogenic music i've listened to recently.
+ the whole album is so damn replayable, lots of nooks and crannies.
Well, why not post all it's luscious contents in full?

Continuing on with my psychedelia phase.
Sunbeam Sound Machine - Goodness Gracious (2019)
More blissful sounds with hazy dreamscapes and atmospheres.
Riffing off my previous post slightly, if anything can take me out of reality, this album can.

From
https://twitter.com/EsotericCD/status/1 ... 6470850565"In the late '80s someone pumped out an "Alvin & The Chipmunks" cassette tapes of '80s new-wave and pop hits.
30 years later some guy found it, slowed it to 1/16th speed, and revealed what was secretly the most important postpunk/goth album ever recorded:"

This works a lot better than I thought it would, especially at faster playback speed for a proper classic post-punk sound.
Sometimes I'll just sit back and binge this song for a bit. Easily my favorite vocal track from the whole series, and kind of a personal theme song of sorts.

Caravan Palace - Human Leather Shoes For Crocodile Dandies
I first found this song in the height of 2019's summer, but in a way I have always felt like I had heard it somewhere before then.
The album '<|°_°|> (robot face)' was released in 2015, and oddly, this particular track reminds me of my own events and experiences occurring in that year.
I can always visualise the life of 2015 whenever I listen to it.
Call it imaginary ear-muscle memory or my own tainted nostalgia, but somehow....however strangely....it winds my mind back.

Vashti Bunyan - I'd Like To Walk Around In Your Mind

i guess this counts as 'now listening' - i'm a sucker for songs that make me feel like i'm speeding in a car driving straight into hell
songs that scratch that itch:
- first half of Beach House's new Modern Love Stories
- Beck's song Lonesome Tears, last minute and a half or so
always seems to involve strings and weird chords! maybe i can blame 'devil went down to georgia'...

I've had the Limited Edition SH4 ST in my collection for years now but only just recently realized how much of a hidden gem it is. Yamaoka has cited Trent Reznor, Depeche Mode, and Massive Attack as influences and I don't think it shows more in any other track than this. It sounds like an outtake from DM's "Ultra"

The ending to that song is what caught my attention. I've had it in the playlist ever since. It's so optimistic at the end and beautiful.

Goblin - Markos (Suspiria Soundtrack)
Really pleasing my love for both 70's prog rock and zappy analogue synth work.

- Spoiler: show
- rooftops are shaking under the pressure of days
A shepherd in heaven herds the clouds
A city shoots its lights into the night
But strong is the night, great is her might
Those who got to bed, good night, good dreams
I've been waiting for this time and here it is
This time has come
Those who ere silent started to talk
Those who've got nothing to wait, mount their horses
You won't catch up with them, no, not now
Those who got to bed, good night, good dreams
I've been waiting for this time and here it is
This time has come
Those who ere silent started to talk
Those who've got nothing to wait, mount their horses
You won't catch up with them, no, not now
Neighbors come, they complain they hear hooves clicking
They can't fall asleep, it disturbs their dreams
Those who've got nothing to wait for take off
And those who were saved-they are safe
Those who got to bed, good night, good dreams
I've been waiting for this time and here it is
This time has come
Those who ere silent started to talk
Those who've got nothing to wait, mount their horses
You won't catch up with them, no, not now
