Been finding tons of sublime independent music through David Dean Burkhart's channel recently.

I'm so excited to be able to share this. I've been following this person since their first uploads and their music is amazing.

I honestly think they would do well to work in the same studio with BOC, but that's just my opinion.

They go by 'A Tree For My Bed'. It's also apparently the name of the title theme to Jurassic Park, but that's unrelated.

This person has some great videos for some of their stuff as well.

That’s nice, sunny indie pop, a bit Mac DeMarco with a side pinch of recent Tame Impala both of which I dig.
Thumbs up…

I liked this album so much that I suggested it to someone on this forum, then completely forgot it's name. Just rediscovered it browsing through Rate Your Music.

A Classic Zappa electric freakout.
I'd take this wild improvisation over the xylophone solos of 'Apostrophe (')' any day. But that's just me.

He never lost the magic touch, but it's strongest on Hot Rats.

Oddly enough, this reminds me of Art of Noise. It sounds like Trevor Horn caressed his fingers all over this sound. :D

Also please check out the independent record label this album was released under. You won't regret it.

I don't know if classical music is much to anyone's taste here, but somehow I get the feeling some of you might like this. It seems to give people a haunted vibe of nostalgia for times they never experienced. This composer is sometimes referred to as "the first minimalist."

Possibly one of the best music videos I've ever seen (epilepsy warning).

Anohni's music never fails when it comes to sincerity. Her vocals on this are truly breathtaking.

A killer of a heavy psych riff. A perfect opener to their album 'Death Song'

Warning to the wise:
Please prepare yourself, before playing this short and surreal techno space odyssey. It's all I ask.

If instructions are unclear and unfollowed, side effects may include...
dangerous amounts of repeat playing, regular jaw drops and an overwhelming appetite to tap along furiously.

Phenomenal sound design. how does this pack so much into 3 minutes?!

Sewerslvt - die alone

I've mentioned this track before but I don't think I've ever gone into why I find this one to be so powerfully emotional. I consider it the climax of the album, much like the title track to The Cure's "Disintegration". The peaceful and innocent sounding notes that continue throughout the first half while the rapid fire drumbreaks hammer on like gunshots. The angelic sounding choir faintly in the background. Just before the second half kicks in you can hear what I can only describe as a scream of despair and anger. The pounding drums blare in, with each bang reminding me of another corpse hitting the ground, bombs going off, and unprocessed emotions drilling into one's skull. Add the overall theme of the album being coping with the loss of someone to mental illness and I can't think of a better track to convey the feeling of "die alone".

Having just now caught a glimpse of Nanoray's work, it reminded me of the style of breakbeat techno that I've always associated with Japan, and namely Soichi Terada. I would highly recommend his Acid Face maxi-single and Ape Escape soundtrack.
