Absolutely. Every now and then I'm totally hooked on 'In the Aeroplane over the Sea'.

Totally and completely. In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is so immensely sad and moving to me.

don't forget On Avery Island, their other great album!, it contains this tape-loop masterpiece

Jeff Mangum's sound-collage shows on WFMU are worth listening to as well - incredibly eccentric as well as ecclectic

Greatness. Every song on ITAOTS is magic.
I happen live not too far from where Jeff Mangum grew up. One of the few great things to come out of this immediate area.

I've tried listening to ITAOTS because of how much I see it mentioned everywhere
a lot of it just reminded me of lackluster version of Fleet Foxes. A little fuzzier in some parts.

Yeah, On Avery Island is definitely awesome too. I think I might even like it more than In The Aeroplane Over The Sea at the moment.

I'm going to do one of those things where I put their entire discography on my ipod without any prelistens. I did that with RATATAT and Toro y Moi and it was awesome. I like the fleet foxes and i saw someone reference them, so I think I'll like it.

to me hipster is an attitude, not what you like.
Hipster is like "The stuff I listen to the best music and all the rest are plebs"
or simply liking it because no one else likes it.
