I spent 14 years in Catholic school, so needless to say, I'm not very religious now. Instead of believing in something I obsess over things...BoC, boobies, booze, etc. I know where I'm going when it's all over.

It would be closer saying that it is a philosphy, but that wouldn't be right either.

i'm an atheist; i also went through catholic school and grew up in a very conservative community.
i use buddhism as a moral framework in my everyday life though so i do think it's a philosophy.
Nice to see yet more commonalities between us 2ists.

Sorry to hear that man, this is kind of where I stand too except I have'nt lost my mom. I find religion confusing, uninteresting, and extremely conflicting (almost every war has started over religion). I like to keep hope alive that there is something after we die, but I think we'll never know until that day comes. One thing I do find interesting is Near Death Experiences. I've read a couple of books about it, and some of those peoples stories are incredible.

I'm deeply sorry to hear that.

I'm not religious in any way.. so that makes me an atheist I guess.
The subject religion is a nice subject to talk about, even more because a lot of people have another opinion about it. But more and more it seems that people do not respect each other religion. As now with the upcoming "battle" between de believer
and the unbeliever.
It really scares me that some people use their relegion to kill other people. Or willing to die like a martyr because their religion makes them a hero.

For several years now im really into taoism (original form), which is to be said in its roots an atheistic movement because the absence of believing in one or more gods. I like reading excerpts on a daily basis.
I strangely grew into this that seem to have started around my 15th when i became one would call a straight X guy, vegetarian, no alcohol or drugs etc, but I don't consider myself being one, people seem to place me there.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and the Son of God. I do not - however - believe that modern day Christianity even remotely resembles who God really is and what His character is like.

I am agnostic, which for me basically means I don't have a friggen clue!
Last semester I took a philosophy of religion class and the more I learned about christianity the more I was pushed away from it. I want to believe in something, I want to believe there is something after this.. but no religious ideologies appeal to me...
all I want is to be a housewife
