Two more recent trippy image oddities that I hope you'll enjoy!
1: wilds slippage coma
2: fractorclox
Thu Nov 18, 2021 1:10 am
Fractorclox looks like it could be part of a theater poster for a psych-horror film. It kinda reminds me of some of the more distorted loading screens from the original Postal from 97, where you can kinda make something out, but at the same time have no real distinction of what you're looking at. I love it
.

Two more recent projects:
The title for this one came first, it just popped into my head and I thought what kind of picture would go with it.
- Spoiler: show
I slapped a censor box on this one just in case, but it isn't really obscuring anything that wouldn't come up with a google search of "mannequin torso". It's a bit more "macabre" than others I've posted, and taken from one of my first attempts at collage art.
- Spoiler: show

I seriously do love your artwork idea's
you seem to have a knack for facial expressions in your individual technique which i don't think i personally have seen before!
utterly captivated by the titles as well, 'corporeal eros + ego' 'collision/derision' 'never mind the seeds, here's the soil'
keep em coming!

Thank you for the kind words
When you mention an unseen individual technique, what is it that you refer to? Asking because I honestly have trouble describing it myself

What I mean by that is composition wise your art is very unique, I don’t think I’ve come across anything in that style, it’s very refreshing!
There's a lot of depth in the hues and detail that I admire about your work, very creative with the postures and colour-palette (it’s the type of art that catches my attention immediately)
I might post some of my own sketches soon!

Here are some of the said sketches, they are a bit surreal so brace yerself!

@Orbited
Nice work
Do you typically freestyle or have somewhat of a concept behind your sketches?

Worked on a portrait from scratch today:

I wouldn’t say that there’s a particular concept, except the second one which was a sketch I drew quite quickly after a dream I had. They are mostly drawn typically is the space of about 45-1hour and then forgotten about, but when I come back to them I'm a bit taken aback by some of the faces, I don’t necessarily start out making them look so bizarre!
That portrait is really good!
well composed and shadowed.

A phrase jumps out at me while looking at these and it’s "two sides to the same coin"
What I mean by that is I like the fact that some of your artwork is melding different images into one and sort of breaking a fourth wall (especially the last one)
In a way, I get two perspectives from your art. Not sure if that makes sense though.
Anyway's it’s great stuff!

A new bit of psychedelic art from me, I've been focusing more on the photography thread and my interests outside of that and music have waned slightly.
A sign of winter lag eh?
Anyhow, here's something that might make a good album cover.

The first one references both the marketing for the 1968 movie "Head" and t.A.T.u.'s album "The Best", so I'd say that phrase suits it quite well
. Also the two sides of both "beauty/ugly" and "human/object" in this modern age is a concept I think about a lot, so there's that too.
Side note: Seeing the movie "Head" when you're in kindergarten has absolutely no adverse effects on a developing mind

I imagine this looking great on a CD or colored vinyl as well

Have any of you heard of the AI art site called womble? Any word in the search engine paints these glorious fucked up images. The images are meshes of whatever the AI finds in the search, its like John Carpenters The Thing, this meld of images with aetheric psychedelic colours.

I've heard of AI art, I don't think I like it.

I really like this one!
I imagine a long lost Massive Attack 12-inch single, very Trip-Hop to my eyes.
The fact that it's B&W gives it a very grungy and grainy bootleg feel.
Is that a stereo boombox going up in flames? Or am I imagining things that aren't there?

I get what you mean
. Most of my stuff has been inspired by heavy dance or industrial sounds, but I recently took a break for more downtempo and lighter music and I guess it shows.
It's actually made up of cut-up and rearranged photos of an abandoned laundromat, so they're just washing machines, but I see how it looks like that
.

Pardon the double post, but I finally got around to finishing this one.
I think I'm getting better? I wish I had a more suitable way to share this kind of stuff.
