"Danny The Dog" written and produced by "Luc Besson".
Danny [Jet Li] is a chinese slave with the mind and personality of a little child raised as a dog trained to fight and kill. Forced to wear a dog collar around his neck. Danny has been trained to be a vicious pit fighter and bodyguard by his cold hearted "master" Bart [Bob Hoskins]
When Bart falls into a coma after an accident, Danny takes the first steps towards attaining his humanity when he meets a blind piano tuner Sam [ Morgan Freeman] and his step-daughter Victoria [Kerry Gordon] what happens next you have to see, it's worthwhile! The soundtrack is from Massive Attack and RZA and really great.

I liked "Good Night and Good Luck" a lot.
Btw, Dver, wasn't it you who told me that you'd read "The Man in the High Castle" recently? Just finished it last night. Interesting book.

That movie had me prostrate with grief. I'm not sure how I feel about mexican cinema, really. My buddy who studies spanish lit in college told me that the scene where it's snowing at the end of the film with Benicio Del Toro represents the message of redemption in the film. So, yeah.
I mean, it was a good movie, but TALK ABOUT DEPRESSING.

The last film I saw that really stuck with me was 'Irreversible'... It's one of my favorite films, but it is also astonishingly violent and definately not for everyone... You've been warned!

"Debbie Does Dallas." This movie changed my whole view of the plight of the modern cheerleader. An eye-opening flick to say the least.

You should look at " Baise Moi ". It could be a strickingly effective public service announcement against the dangers of casual sex if it weren't for the fact that the 2 women Manu and Nadine like to murder strangers, male and female, indiscriminately even if no sex is involved. "Baise Moi" is a combination of porn and heavy violence from the year 2000, a real shocker.

It struck me to, i wonder when director Darren Aronofsky will surprise us again with a new movie.

The last movies that really interested me were:
Lucia y el sexo (very intriguing!)
Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain (very moving!)
Spun (a movie about drugs like requiem for a dream; also with bizzarre filming edits; very nice)
Girl Next Door (a very lightweighted teen movie but I felt connected with it being in a romantic mood)
I highly recommend all of them!

Amelie was really interesting, imo. The cinematography was gorgeous.
