If I was there I know I’d rather groove to the sounds of UBV-76 ('the buzzer') :]
They give off an uncomfortable ambience. Really great hues on those shots!

Is there a negative/neutral version of the word "timeless"?

I love these, especially the second one. They just transport me straight back to the first time I visited America when I was 16.
I hadn't been outside Britain or Ireland before and being driven from the airport, these sprawling suburbs (of Milwaukee as it happens, but even then I knew that probably every American suburb was like this) were utterly alien to me, even though they're completely unremarkable to anyone living there.
I love being the passenger in a car, train, taxi, whatever, in another country, staring out the window, not at the at the landmarks or the tourist attractions, but the habitat of normal life and (often utterly jarring) differences therein.
We drove past endless numbers of these nondescript box-like business premises, the same car park outside with a mix of the same sedans and SUVs parked in it, only distinguished by business names that I didn't recognise and would never see again. What happened in these buildings? Who were the people who parked outside them everyday and what did they do inside? What life did they go home to after work?
Years later when visiting my brother who lives in Chicago, I stayed in a Holiday Inn where the view from my room was like this, identical to those buildings I'd seen when I'd first been to the US, yet in a completely different city - it was strangely comforting.
Bland and featureless as they are, there's something nice about the way they're always surrounded by a few trees and cut grass and yet....I felt a kind of sinister nature to the blandness, the normality, as if anything could happen there and no-one would know (which you've really caught in these photos).
I've been to the USA quite a few times now, yet for me these places will always be the real America to me, in a way.

There is something oddly alluring about telephone masts and power lines that I can't quite place. Insanely good shot!

This thread reminded me about this sunset shot I took yesterday.

When I was a kid in the early '00s I would routinely visit areas like this through when I would visit my mother, who lived in a separate city. Needless to say, places like those were still operational at the time, and a lot of my faint feelings of some sort of nostalgia come from places like that and VH1 top 20 radio hits at the time that I would listen to on the car rides between cities. Those first 3 photos were taken directly behind a shopping mall, which is still operational but nearly over half empty of businesses, and to see those buildings boarded up alongside the vacant walkways and parking lots instilled a great feeling of isolation. Currently living miles away from any friends or family, working a spirit crushing 9-5, and trying to navigate an increasingly empty and divided world on my own.

So yeah, anything could happen there and no one would know.

They act as the veins that keep the blood flowing in our modern world, seeing them out in the open is a reminder that we're always connected.

Beautiful shot, it reminds me of the kind of stuff I would see during the aforementioned car rides.

Part of a local hospital is being demolished today, saw a photography opportunity so I headed towards the rubble covered street opposite.

Luckily I got there early. It was just great timing that the sun was placed directly behind the crane and that a pipe had burst, and was spitting water all over.

When it was all aligned, it was too good not to try to snap some angles.

Take care of objects which obstruct the scene. The out of focus fence post is a distraction - so personally, I would have moved to the left, and then forwards to capture the horse. I would definitely suggest looking into the rule of thirds. I suggest this to any client when teaching photography. Last tip - be aware of your horizon! Always look to keep the horizon straight. Naturally, you'll find that most scenes then fall into place.

Thank you for the constructive advice and critic, I am looking at ways to improve my skills with the camera, and while I could definitely reprocess most of what you said in Photoshop, my teacher always told me to get the shot right at the very source. Cheers and thank you :)
