There have been over 300 homicides in Philly this year so far! Thats more than one a day! These kids have families, talent, ability and they get caught up in this bullshit because 'Yo, it be gangsta', NO it be fucking stupid! Those fucking rapping morons don't care what happens to these kids, Where is the responsibility for there neighborhoods?? Guess it doesn't matter as long as you are rolling on 23s. I'm really sick of how people make the world a more horrible place because it's 'cool' to be that way. Wake the fuck up!! I guess I should say that this isn't directed at anyone here and i'm sorry to be a downer, but it really is disheartening. So again sorry to be off-topic, NOT directed at anyone here. Smile it's sunny!

Did you play GTA ever before?

ExitEuXa recommended me this movie a while ago and I think ìt was to show how drugs can fuck people up. Well.. it sure does fuck people up, isn't it?

Yeah, I've played GTA a few times. But I always just ran around and shot civilians so I could fight the cops. Never got very far in the game.

I can see why rappers identify with that movie. Although I really have to wonder what it is in a person that would make them walk away from a movie like Scarface thinking "hell yeah, I'm going be just like that guy" because Tony Montana, at bottom, was a pretty miserable guy, imho.

Hardly one of the great movies of our time, but it was one of those omnipresent cultural things that I felt like I had to be familiar with.

Don't forget that 'Old Skool Rap' was about the real life from Afro-Americans, that gangster shit has NOTHING to do with real HipHop.

Danver you are absolutely right. Old Skool rap tried to bring about change and empowerment to people, something to be proud of. However, now you just have wads of cash, dumb gold teeth, woman who apparently are proud to be thought of as objects and tons and tons of sensless violence. And again, why? Because it's 'street yo' ??????????

ON TOPIC.....James Bond Diamonds are Forever, just watched this last night. Man, Sean Connery was such a kick ass Bond.
Also the first Pirates of the Carribean. Jeffery Rush stole the whole show.

Yeah Oldboy blew me away. Saw it in the cinema when it came out and then watched it again on DVD. That fight scene in the corridor is incredible!

Last night i saw a film called Offside set in Iran about women trying to sneak into a World Cup qualifying match dressed as men. Quite funny and charming.
