Alright everybody, here's the news:

Today I was hoping to bring a legacy Twoismer and a great guy with me. We were also bringing his girlfriend. Unfortunately, as Ian pointed out, one particular awful event happened that eventually left us in a completely shit situation. We talked things over many, many times, bouncing back and forth from putting her on a train and us leaving to all of us going back to just me going. Finally Cupz told me to get on the train and go or he'd "kill me". I got on the train. I'm here at Redpoint's flat and needless to say, things did not go as planned.

Cupz is a great guy and I had the honor of staying with him for a little over a week. He will be with us in flamingo spirit.

I wanted to say this too but didn't want to keep typing while conversing with Ian:

I booked megabus tickets that will now be wasted entirely (unless two others want to ride up north and I decide to stay for the long haul). The train ticket that was paid for was totally redundant. The house that I booked for four nights stay in Edinburgh may not be refundable either.

Cupz put money on his train card(s) so that we could get where we needed to go. He was a great host and extremely generous. He could have made the trip, but he chose to go back with his girlfriend and I am here only because he insisted I go instead of returning with them. It doesn't feel right to leave a friend like that, especially one you spent over a week planning for something amazing with.

I assume they've returned (or will return) home shortly and it was upsetting for everyone. Life goes on and yes, money was lost, but I wanted to address Mark and co. so upset to not see him show - I was already prepared to pay for whatever this man needed within reason. It's a true shame that this happened. If Cupz wants to return, alone or with his girlfriend (if they can work out a visa solution quickly. If there's a yes, I'll support him entirely to get him up to Knoydart before it happens. If anyone else wants to chip in somehow, feel free. We'll have to talk about it and of course, he'll have to make a decision. I don't want to pressure him at all.

Hey all.

Yeah it sucks. I still can't really believe it but it is rather typical for my life. Shit like this always seems to happen to me.
Willie doesn't have a dutch passport but she is a dutch citizen and she doesn't leave home without her citizen pass. It was more then enough last time we traveled to Spain and Germany. It would have been enough in any country in the EU besides the UK, I guess. And what a bureaucratic piece of shit country it is. I really had a tough time not going apeshit namecalling at the border. The road back home was perilous as well because we didn't get back in time we had to spend a night outside waiting for the next train. Thank goodness we where overly prepared for that with our rucksacks and it turned out quite romantic in the end.

Its very sweet reading all these comments and the people planning my kidnapping, but I figured there'll be another time...its annual isn't it? It'll be fine. I'll see you all next year or maybe Jonse's stories/movie will make you want to meet me in this country (that is better then the uk) before that. I hope you all have a blast, and don't worry about me. I'm already halfway through drinking my pains away and we're enjoying the fact that we can fuck all we want and run around the house naked again.
