i am no expert at all, but there is one thing that i can say and it should be obvious to all.

love is nothing without pain

i used to talk a lot about past relationships particularly online. now that relationship is over i've learned that it's probably not a good idea to reveal certain informations on the internets for two reasons:

1) there's always someone who's willing to stir shit up and try to fuck with your head / your partners head.

2) if/when that relationship ends and you move on and find someone else, there's a shit load of past relationship stuff all there in nice google cache :p makes great reading for your partner

my advice - keep your relationship details away from the internets

I guess there must be something really great about it then.. But i personally would prefer art (music / poetry / literature / paintings). It seems more honest. Or something. I'm waffling. i very much believe that dualism plays a big part in life. it's pretty unavoidable. if we care enough about something, it is inevitable that we will suffer from it.

funny statement though, that you would prefer art to actual experience...isn't art supposed to be about portraying emotions? it's kind of like a simulacra

and then we get onto the philosophical debate of, if you could choose to live in a dream world or reality, which would you choose and if you chose the dream world, would you be technically alive?

To go with the metaphor, in my limited experience the moment you give in to love it's like the traffic lights are suddenly not working anymore and you decide to cross the street with your eyes closed. But it's like you don't care about the danger because there's great music playing on your ipod. Haha does this still make sense?

isn't art actual experience? Like music for example is more to me than a portrayal of someone else's emotions (however powerful that mere encounter is). It sometimes seems to have a life on its own if that makes any sense... i try to give words to the way i can experience music, but i cannot, sorry. It's just that art cannot lie. Real love cannot either, but when is love real, taking the human tendency to selfishness into account that always blurs it one way or another.. I get your point though. Love is relationship, interaction. Art isn't or in a very remote way.

i sure wish i could find someone who appreciates the welsh nature as much as i do. i spend most my time in 'the cwmins' which is a woodlands that leads to a small village named llanachaeron. it has a public footpath running through the middle, yet it's rare to see anyone walking along there. can someone please send a few over for me? i'm getting lonely.
