took a walk around the Heygate Estate in London yesterday, heres a bit of info about the estate from the land of wiki.

"The Heygate Estate is a large housing estate located in Walworth, Southwark, south London. The estate is currently being demolished as part of the regeneration of the Elephant and Castle area.
It was home to more than 3,000 people.
The Heygate is well known for being one of the starkest examples of post-war urban decay in the United Kingdom."

The estate was eerie as hell to wander around, especially on my own.

many thanks :D , and Bleak your photos are great!

I know most of my stuff on flickr is urban based at the moment but i actually mostly shoot outdoor landscape stuff. I'm gonna have a dig through my HDD's as i have 3 years worth of Lake District photos to sort through and edit... lazyness.

Id love to see your pics of the lake district dude, I love it there.

My favourite place is Wast water lake

Image

Im not sure the name of this trail but it heads up towards skafel pike from wasdale / wast water, when walking the trail I always follow the river, climbing the rocks . Im always tempted to jump into the crystal clear lagoon like pools beneath the water falls whenever I see them.

A while ago I was listening to The Campfire Headphase while driving the North Devon coastal highway (A38) by Lynton & Lynmouth when I happened upon this awesome vivid rainbow across the Bristol channel.

Unfortunately all I have is an iphone for taking snaps, I don't think it really does much justice. Maybe someone can recommend a really descent SLR with a modest price tag?

Vballs I love the 2nd and 3rd pics. I don't think the iPhone has failed you in that 3rd pic but Nikon d40/ d50 are fab cameras to use, not too ridiculously priced either.

nice images vballs! i'm not too sure if my current camera (canon 500d) fits into modest price range? you should be able to pick one up for about £300 these days. I've been using three years or so now and have found it more than sufficient :)

here's a recent picture of a sunset over the west wales coast -

Thanks man.

£300? they have come down a lot, I hoped to buy one last year sometime based on the pictures that you have posted haha. I remember you posted what camera you used so I googled it straight away.
You do some awesome landscape shots dude. Maybe later in the Summer I can afford one if all goes well.

we've had some beautiful weather here on the west coast of wales recently. here's a photograph taken yesterday. in the foreground is castell bach, a celtic iron age settlement and promontory hill fort which dates to about 300 BC.

@diabolous616: Some of those are great. Quite stark, and bleak. Following on flickr.

@bleak: Love those :) Already following.

@vballs: Nice work with the phone camera. Love that last one.

lol i travelled down to notting hill carnival a couple of years back with some friends, we ducked out of the party we were at to roll a joint on the steps here

the next week i was watching 'attack the block' when those same steps popped up on screen, was funny to recognise
