I don't reckon ExitEuXa will give you €20.-
Well, me neither but it could be worth the try since we all kindly contributed our music.

Oh well, count me in for a copy anyway.
Yeah, I'd agree. I'm sure alot of us who submitted music are pretty broke. At least make the MP3s available to the musicians, since none of us were expecting any kind of payment for our submissions and we (at least I was) were under the impression it would be given away for free...
20 euros is alot of money for something that was originally going to be free! I don't know about anyone else but I don't have $26 lying around!
I'm with ya on that one. I am flat broke. Hopefully we keep it available for a while. I will eventually buy a copy for sure. But, it would also be nice to have the mp3s available or something in the meantime.
Also, is it just going t o be made available to us twoism folk or are we expanding the reach a little to outsiders?

ExitEuXa wrote:I never said that the Twoism cd will be 20 euro. The idea from boardsofdublin to give the cdr for free to members who don't have the cash is something to think about? At this moment the price will be between 14 & 16 euro shipment included! And milieu don't you think it's more enjoyable to have a beautiful limited hard copy in you're hands than just another download?

Sure, I'd love a CD to hold and play and look at, but if I can't afford it, I can't afford it, thus the beauty of a free release. I think since it's obviously something some of the folks on this board are passionate about and ready to support, I think it would be within good taste to make it both a free download and a purchasable CD.
Maybe only put half of the 2CD set online for downloading or something...since isn't this also to show potential newcomers and non-musicmakers on Twoism who dwells here? I think a downloadable release by the folks here could be a very warming welcome mat.
Just suggestions...
Oh and Derail, 20 euros is $26 USD, check the currency conversion. Right now the euro is up on the dollar, going something like 1 euro = 1.30 USD.

I see some misinterpret this awesome idea ExitEuXa came up with. It's just something extra to make this compilation tangible .. and of course is the compilation going to be available for download as well. ExitEuXa didn't set this up as a money making business as some might think. He is putting some of his money at risk to create something of which especially the artsits who contributed should be very proud about (my thought at least). The more buyers there will be the cheaper it'll get. At this time ExitEuXa decided to make 50 copies! be there or be square!!
Keep in mind that it won't just be a bubblejet printer design but a laserprint like any other CD packages.
I see some are broke.. is this just an excuse to say you are not interested? Or are you really that broke and can't effort €14-16?

Broke means broke man. It's the holidays here and like I explained way earlier in the thread, any and all money I have is pretty much spoken for due to bills, gas, and buying/packing/shipping gifts.
That is not to say I'm not interested, and I'm really glad ExitEuxa and yourself are very passionate about putting this together, but 16 euros is still $21 USD that I don't have. I'm glad that it will be available as a download as well, I'm sorry for assuming it wasn't...I did not mean to make anyone think I was disapproving from a money standpoint either. ExitEuxa and everyone else who puts in money to get this thing off the ground have my support.

I've been out of work for 5 months... I can guarantee you I'm broke! Haha... But yeah, I am totally interested in scoring a hard copy for sure! There's a lot of great artists on this collection... and I love seeing my name in print! Hah!

I'd start selling (delicious Belgian) waffles if that's what it would take to get me a hard copy.

Lol.
Stop it.
I'd gladly send Milieu a copy. God knows he's filled my ears, for free, with enough beautiful music to last an entire lifetime already.

I'm alittle late coming into this, but people who provided the music have to pay for a cdr? That's kinda fucked. The cdr would be a plastic disc and nothing more without the music. I too commend those wanting to make this something nice, but it doesn't seem right. All this should be DYI style. Hand made covers etc. Seems like a bit of money to spend for a cdr, professionally done or not. Again, sorry if I missed some info and didn't get this right, but I wouldn't feel right about giving a song for this if this is indeed the way it's going to be done.
Mon Nov 27, 2006 12:50 am
Yes steve-o, that's the plan ExitEuXa suggested and it seems to be realized.
Any of the contributors can print out and burn the compilation once it is available for download. As I said before.. this is just something extra and let's be thankfull that ExitEuXa is sorting this all out and make it happen.
Do you really expect ExitEuXa to pay €14-16 per copy and send them for free to all the contributors??
Mon Nov 27, 2006 2:09 am
No, I wouldn't expect him to do that at all. And I think that I have a better jist of what the cdr will be. So it makes more sense to me.
