Killing Zoe

My girlfriend moved in with me, and now I have an entire living-room wall filled with dvd's
There are about 500 VHS's in the basement.

Next up: The entire Nightmare on Elmstreet series.

I hope the original- such a 'time and place' kind of movie. Very special.

Recently caught up on some much-needed movie purchases that I'd been putting off/searching for for a good while....

-Videodrome
-Kids
-Night Breed
-The Legend of Hell House

And my favourite new find has GOT to be Season 1 of Tales from the Darkside. It's a Twilight Zone-type show produced/created by George A Romero. After he made the film Creepshow he wanted to create a TV show in the same vein but couldn't use the name due to legal issues..and Tales from the Darkside was born. It's by far one of the creepiest shows that was ever on TV, sometimes watching it I'm amazed a show like it was ever on network television in the first place.

Just spent a couple of drowsy, happy hours watching Persona (dir. Ingmar Bergman). The perfect sleepy, curled up on the sofa with a cold movie.

Stunning and beautiful.

I can also recommend Persona. I thought it was pretty dry, but the vision of the movie and the images make up for that. About the same feeling I had with 2001 A Space Odessey.

Always loved the movie Creepshow, and I'm a huge fan of the "Dead Trilogy", but I've never seen an episode of Tales From The Darkside that I can recall. I am gonna have to check it out now.

In other news, I just watched Apocalypse Now. Great film. Some genuinely creepy moments in that movie.
