Finally watched Kids. AWESOME. Yet sad....

And as for Troll 2..well I've been dying to see that for ages. I also had the pleasure of watching KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park, the 70's made-for-tv Kiss movie. I really don't like Kiss at all..I just like bad movies. This one had this gem of a line:

Parent:"Hey, you can't smoke in here!"

Sketchy Teenager: "I'll smoke you!"

At the time, I cracked up for 5 minutes straight..ah marijuana

NI! NI! NI!

This is what gave me a laugh-rush for about 15 minutes because of the same drug.

They're eating her! An then they're going to eat me! Oh my gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

Just saw Benjamin Button last night. Excellent. Fincher has always been one of my faves. I must, however, recommend beyond any movie that has come out with year, Gomorrah. About a mob-like organization in Naples. Absolutely amazing. I was speechless by the end of it. Extremely raw, and near-documentary real. Get your hands on it somehow and watch it.

I never heard of it (that already is a big plus most of the time) but indeed the preview looks great. Description next to it too. Thanks for the tip! Always in the mood for good films.

Dude, Monty Python is the best. Do you have the box set of the series yet? If not, you should. It's a must.

Oh, and since this is about movies, I recently watched Time Bandits. See how I tied that altogether?

Oh man that was a downer. And, I'm not sure, but... I think probably stupid too. But I don't want to get into it - I just don't want to see it again.

Parts of it were a little lame but I don't think it was that bad overall.

what's it about? is it the one with that theory that a soul weighs seven pounds or am i mixing it up with another movie?
I saw Goodbye Bafana the other night. About Nelson Mandela. It was a good film, but in a way i think the movie shouldve gone deeper.

I watched many movies recently but these struck me the most.

Synecdoche, New York

This blew my mind. Best movie I've seen in years. This is story telling turned inside out, sometimes you don't know whether to panic, laugh, cry, be confused. Charlie Kaufman never disappoints. This is likely to be his most complex/confusing movie. HIGHLY recommended if you can appreciate his other movies.

Before Sunrise

At first the movie annoyed me, I found the character of Ethan Hawke in particular to be spoiled and pretentious. But as I continued watching I discovered that this can be seen as one of the movie's many charms. This is the celluloid adaptation of the dream of many people, including myself. Very true to real life, most people can relate to the events and things being said in this film. Left me with a great feeling. Watching the sequel tonight.

In The Loop. Peter Capaldi as Malcolm Tucker is superb.
