Incidentally, i'm first and foremost a writer and have been looking for an artist to collaborate with for a long time, for a couple of projects i've dreamed up. Anyone fancy a chat about the possibility?

Cupz, speaking from the perspective of an illustrator and gamer, gotta say I hope you don't change the art direction. Quirky/clever pixel art style you got going there thats definitely easy on the eyes (colors, texture, etc). Can't recall many (if any) games that look like the artist used paint made of pixels to render detailed art. Rock on.

Too small! :)

Yeah blender seems like a really nice program. Never was a triumph of UI design though haha...

Yeah, the UI looks very intimidating. And everything pretty much working with keyboard shortcuts makes it a steep learning curve, but you can get some pretty awesome results pretty fast. And some of the shit that's in there by default is just insane considering the entire thing is free (as in freedom and beer).

good on you, cupz! I tried blender for a bit and got overwhelmed with how much there was to learn. So I made a butt, and haven't touched it since

You need to use the mesh smoothing on those buttocks, they look like they've sat on lego.

A bit different, but I'm working on a new animation since I am not really doing anything else with my life but working.

This one is another stop motion, but I want it to be on a really grand scale. I'm working on some big sets, and I'm going to be taking a lot of cues from old aviation films. This one's been really fun to work on.

A little bit of blender. It's still very dull and empty and the lighting sucks, but I like the illusion! Myst-style adventure-game anyone?
