Putting together a mix is HARD!

Somewhere in the middle of my trawl to identify Societas X tracks I started saving off things that caught my ear. Of course, it's a whole mash of genres from library music to psychadelic to pagan folk to early electronic... nothing super deeply dug out, I mostly went through youtube playlists from the REAL crate-diggers.

And just trying to make something that flows, god, really makes me realise how good a job they did on it. Every attempt to make something coherent out of them is just crashing and burning. To the point just loading up the tracks unmixed in my MP3 player in alphabetical order actually sounds better. But I'll keep trying.

So glad Twoism exists because it's keeping me sane/distracted in the shittiest year I can remember. Long live this forum.

Ain’t that the truth. It’s a bit quieter, and I don’t post as much as I used to (although looking a couple of posts up, I still do when I’ve had a few, apparently...), but it’s good to know everyone is still here. It’s like an old friend.

Speaking of Random. Someone told me some major corporations have access to watch your cell phone activity including what websites you visit. Not sure about exact specifics, but let's just say you are an employee at a billion dollar company. Surely these folks at the billion dollar company are connected with FB, IG, Spotify, etc. The application companies possibly sell your information. Could be wrong, but it's something to be aware of incase I'm right.

So I'm partially in tears again. I can't help but feel I betrayed a friend of mine even though there was a lot of circumstance. I should have fucking listened.

Cupz, wherever you are, I hope you are directed back here at some point enough to see this. Someone previously noted you apparently made your way to the UK and elsewhere, so maybe you're in contact with a few here still. I don't know. I just don't know where you are, how to find you (as you wish it to be, for almost everyone, understandably) and if I'll hear from you again unless you reach out to me. I'll make this message clear right here as such with enough time having gone by that I no longer care.

I love you. I loved every moment we spent together. I cherish our friendship on a level I cannot put into words. You took me into your home, and more importantly, into your heart. I reciprocated that. I will never forget the time we spent together. You and your S/O are/were/I still hope, but if not, still acknowledge as a beautiful couple that could not have been more compassionate to anyone compared to what I was treated to.

I want you to know, of all reasons, I believe you'll understand my lapse of communication prior to your cutoff from the internet: I fell in love with someone I'd known for so long but never seen in person. It occupied so much of my life. I felt bad disregarding everyone. Every day. It's not an excuse, but I think you'll understand. I wanted to tell you when I finally got to talk to you again. In any case, if you ever are forwarded here or find yourself back here, know those two things. I am sorry for leaving when you clearly needed someone to be part of a team and at the same time, I couldn't control the emotions that now lead me in life, same as you have surely felt.

This is a random thread post if ever I've seen one, so don't change that, though if anyone is still in contact with the guy, let me know.

P.S. - your 2001 thing was lame and you should come back and do something less lame :P

I have now been a member of this board for just over 15 years. That's bonkers! This is the only board for me (other than those ones from Canada, that is).

Hey, any of you old curmudgeons like me remember when we couldn't simply link to a video or embed a player to share music?! Man, those were the dark ages!

I remember it arriving and being a Big Thing. Twoism is the longest lasting presence I've had online anywhere. This has got me thinking about Twoism's biggest moments - the Red Moon thing was fun, the whole campaign around TH was great. I wonder what Twoism's other Greatest Hits would be???

One on Twoism would be part of a greatest hits collection. The Twoism Skype group would be up there as well, and all of the quotes in my signature that I refuse to remove.

The longest I've ever been a part of a message board was probably 16 years. You all know I'm a big pop tart, so it's no surprise to anyone when I say that I spent all of my adolescence and early adulthood at a forum dedicated to the group TLC. Thank God that forums are not totally archived on the internet, especially one that you actually grew up on. I'd come home from school and rush over to that forum to spend hours on it. Anyway, 6-ish more years until I catch up with that record on Twoism, and at the rate BOC work, I look forward to going through at least one new era from them before I hit that milestone.

There was a period of time where a large group of us all changed our avatars to owls for some reason! That was kinda fun. I seem to recall a similar event with carrots.

The Cupz exodus was also a pretty big event. I still think he will return the second one of us threatens to be the first to reach 10000 posts!

Twoism is also my longest internet presence. I got rid of pretty much every other type of social account for a variety of reasons over the years.

I remember the carrots!

CUPZ EPISODE OF MTV CRIBS, MY GOD. The best thing I've ever watched.

Dorset meetups...

Oh, man! Cupz Cribs was top shelf!

I don't think any of the meetups ever happened in my vicinity, sadly. I seem to recall it was the Red Moon event that set the Twoism meetups in motion. Everyone was bummed that they could not figure out what all those codes meant, so they just decided to have a Red Moon event of their own. Pretty cool how that brought the community together.

It's always so dark and dimly lit. I have stood outside on the brightest of days, looked at the brightest of lights, clean optometrist bill. Daylight is like eternal dusk. No psych doctor or PTSD worker has ever been able to determine why. It's only ever at most reminiscent of this sort, looking up...

Why is it all so terribly dark?

I have felt this way as well.
I really hope you are all right.
It helps to have someone to talk to.
