Another Machinedrum, damn...

I’m looking at the Analog RTYM mkII but I might just have to go all the way... Thoughts!?

Killer setup btw! I’m seeing some older Make Noise faceplates in there, yeah? How long you been into modular?

Asking the same question also - Logic or Ableton?

I use Ableton 10 Suite with mostly Native Instruments and Arturia VSTs

Also mess around in Max MSP (mostly .jit) and VCV rack a bit also...

Loading the Autechre sysex data into the Machinedrum is like a taking a master class... Their use of the lfos and resampling feedback is a revelation.

I got into modular in 2010. Lot's of buying and selling early on but now it's pretty stable. The Make Noise stuff is my favorite.

Ableton Live since version 1.5. I mostly record the hardware and edit/effect in Live but I have grown to love Arturia's Arp 2600 VST.

Wish I had the patience for Max/M4L but what little I've learned hasn't stuck.

really nice Bendu! Modular is honestly something I only got into this year because I wanted to make the most of the Soma Pulsar connectivity, otherwise I would have stayed out of this rabbit hole. But, it's actually really cool, been having lots of fun with it. It's just needs alot of self control to concentrate on making music rather than collecting modules, which I think is easy to let get out of hand, ha. I have tried to stick to modules that really work with my setup, a couple of unique voices, no synth voices, I have enough, ha, and the rest more utilitarian and shaping types.

I have tried a RYTM and honestly, it annoyed me but I could definitely see how amazing and powerful it was, just wasn't feeling some of the workflow. It's more powerful than the MD in many ways but the MD has so many unique things that no other elektron has. I find the MD really fun and it probably finds it's way onto nearly every track in some way or another.

And yeah, I did load in the Ae sysex to the MD and MnM, man, it was surreal to play music i'm really familiar with and be able to take it to places they didn't on the recordings.

"Play" is a big word to describe my guitar skills, but I really should pick it up again.

As long as I survive the aftermath of using my latest purchase:

Thanks! It's also right across the road from a wildlife reserve. Got a lot of plans for the place, including building a bat shelter (there's evidence of bats in the attic we'll have to evict), planting a number of native tree and a couple of apple trees to replace some oaks dying to oak wilt, and building a fire pit for regular bonfires in the forest.

Tube Screamer and Klon Centaur clones, both of which sound almost biblically huge and wonderful.
A frame for the Stanley Donwood print my ex bought me for Xmas.
Some 00 flour so I can make my own pasta this weekend.

I bought the new Warp hoodie.

https://bleep.com/release/211051-warp-w ... ack-hoodie

Not overly impressed, in all honesty. Embroidery is nice but the hoodie itself feels thin and cheap. Also the fit is quite snug - definitely think I could've gone a size up.

A sheath for my frankly terrifying new kitchen knife.

My dad got me a knew chef's knife for Christmas and lads, it's a game changer. Highly recommended.

I didn't need the tip of my right thumb anyway.
