What would you define as your favourite adventure games? I'm talking those point and click style games that tell an unfolding story. I used to love those early Lucasarts games, Monkey Island and such, and have a major soft spot for Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. I found it told a story much more engaging than any of the movies have ever done! Simon the Sorcercer was another favourite, had great humour with the voice of Chris Barrie as Simon (Rimmer from Red Dwarf), never finished it though unfortunately. I've just started playing Syberia, it seems great so far! The settings etc. look very nice. Does anyone remember Torin's Passage? Not sure how popular it was, but I remember playing it as a kid and have fond memories.

Just started playing Mass Effect now too, adventure gaming for the 21st century! I love space stuff like this and the music is great.

mass effect was pretty good.
adventure games... im a big fan of anything lucas arts, especially The Dig. that game was amazing. also, the neverhood is incredible as well. the game took 2 tons of clay to make!!

I've liked the LucasArts games since I was a kid, especially Sam & Max Hit The Road, Day Of The Tentacle, and the Monkey Islands.
Longest Journey was pretty damn epic as well.

I've got The Longest Journey on the way, wasn't too impressed with Dreamfall though, you played it?

I thought Dreamfall was OK, but I recall an entire chapter consisting of running from person to person with no real gameplay... and the cliffhanger ending made it seem incomplete.

I'm going to check out The Neverhood, it's fascinating reading the reviews and how different they vary!

Oh, I don't know how I didn't saw this thread before. I'm a big sucker for adventure games. In fact I work at a site dedicated to them and I've made a couple of interviews with people such as Ron Gilbert (Monkey Island), Al Lowe (Leisure Suit Larry), Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight), etc.

I also own Gabriel Knight 3, Myst Riven, Myst Exile, Lost in Time, Full Throttle and a few others.

Hehe yeah. Actually is Phantasmagoria Stagefright, a special edition which includes both games. The box on top is part of the same collection and it has Gabriel Knight 1, 2, the soundtrack of both, a demo of GK3, the graphic novel of the third game and the book of GK1.

They're my favourite adventures .

I really enjoyed King's Quest 5. The whole witch in the forest part creeped me out though, mostly since it was super easy to die in that part.
