There’s a experimentle drama film directed by Ben Wheatley that I’d recommend called A field in England, I won’t ruin it but the general synopsis is it’s set during the English civil war & is a bit psychedelic (as trippy as you can get in black and white!)
It stars Reece shearsmith from inside No.9 and Michael smiley and is really good when it comes to directing and mood.

Just saw few days later Arrival. This is alien and probably my least favorite Denis Villeneuve movie, tho every one before it and after are exceptional pieces of cinema. What I miss is the scale, there's really no much going on the screen. Tho, some ideas are really interesting. It goes in to that "Inception" terrioty, but much more subtle. Another movie which I was able to see in the theatre back in the days. Cinema art.

I've been looking at Atomic Journeys, which looks at pretty much every nuclear test location outside the Nevada Test Site. It has really good restored videos. The guy who made this film actually won an Oscar for the restoration process he uses. He also worked on the original Robocop and Star Wars movies.

My Octopus Teacher was suggested by a good friend of mine.
she and I watched it while over the phone, I cried like a baby, it was so beautiful.

I would urge you to watch it, you won't regret it.

Yeah I loved it as well. Have already revisited it twice.

Finally got around watching Dune, even though it has it flaws, it's a very solid movie. Really looking forward to part 2 and 3.
It also made me want to read the books, and I haven't read a book in over 10 years I guess. Looking forward to reading while listening to some nice ambient on vinyl.

What a cool poster. Gonna watch it in a few days. Heard, that many Matrix fans are disappointing with this movie. It would be really interesting to see.

Btw, new Dune movie was mostly praised by critics and was a box office success. I thought it was good, but nothing mind-blowing. Definitely not the favourite Denis Villeneuve movie, for me. Tho, I'm not in to Dune universe at all.

For a movie that never should have been made, it actually has some decent moments.

I liked the idea, that they use mirrors now to escape the matrix. Tho, they killed my favourite meme about payphones:

A beautifully surreal experience of early avant-garde cinema.

Some friends of mine went to see the movie back when it released and didn't enjoy it, I had a Matrix session with one of them back in the beginning of last year, REALLY enjoyed the first movie, the others not so much. After finding out most people, including them, didn't like it I just decided to not watch Resurrections.

Looks cracking! Some big names in production and design as well.

The art style from that trailer is very Makoto Shinkai. I just wish they wouldn't make it so long and detailed. How am I supposed to enjoy a film fully if the trailer shows so much?

There's some heavy shit in this thread folks.
I was pleased to see you can check out all the film board of Canada films by just visiting their website.
It's cool.
Apols if someone has already mentioned this, I couldn't do with trawling through 20 pages of posts! :)
