Drillkicker, I take it you've read it? Worth waiting for?

I have a PDF scan of the original edition, but I definitely can't afford a physical copy of that. Very fascinating information inside that you probably won't find anywhere else. I'm waiting on the mass market version since I blew over $70 on the upcoming David Tibet book and I'm saving up for some more Current 93 stuff, as always. It'll be very exciting when this republication finally comes out, though, considering the extra material it's fabled to have.

Waging Heavy Peace - Neil Young's autobiography.

It's really good, he comes across as a great character, BUT it was clearly written at the point where he was developing the Pono player and Lincvolt car.

Every. Other. Page. Stop going on about the bloody Pono, Neil! I want more stories about doing coke with David Crosby in Laurel Canyon!

Just finished The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

That's some bleak shit right there.

^ I read that at 6th form (20 years ago :/ ) - very bleak, but very good and like the best sci-fi/ dystopian fiction, not *that* hard to imagine happening.

Studying that book was the 1st time I'd heard of the Taliban. Before they were famous for different reasons...

Now reading Bill Bryson's One Summer, America 1927.

Some people find him a bit twee but I really like his writing.

Just bought "The Big Book of Bread" from Oxfam today; bread making is my new *thing*.

"1982, Janine" by Alasdair Gray.

I loved "Lanark" so figured I'd give this a go.

I started reading it about a month ago...I've only just started Deuteronomy.
Don't get much time during the week. Werk consumes my week days :(

Was advised to start with John. Then read Peter, Mark and Matthew....then went to the beginning.

I'd really like to read the New Testament, but unfortunately don't trust any translations of it. I will refuse to read any of it until I learn Koine Greek, even though that may never happen.

I fortunately have no interest in Judaism, so I'm doing without the Old Testament. I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for, though, and I hope you explore some Apocrypha on the way. It is best not to discriminate with your scriptures, as the Bible was only compiled well after Christ left the realm of life.

A book about brewers yeast (working at a brewery). Amazing book, just so hard to read for long periods

Atwood's Oryx and Crake series is amazing. Recommended

I just finished Slade House by David Mitchell. Quite an original take on the "haunted house" story.
