This thread is anything you find brilliant, satisfying, interesting, beautiful, funny... etc

No matter how trivial, include it.. remind people how small things make a big difference in everyday life

A thread as antimatter to the anger thread, because not all things are bad..

Some things which I think are brilliant

getting into an interesting/engrossing book
feeling really satisfied after a good meal
feeling free
the quietness of libraries
laughter
the feeling you get when you have an unbeatable hand in poker (see, it really can be trivial)
finding money
helping someone out
drinking really nice whisky
smoking a roll up cigarette (and the process of rolling)
rain when you're inside
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

You are correct, my friend. Without anger, there would be no happiness. You cannot have one without the other. So, I fully endorse this happy thread!

Music
Laughter
The outdoors
Learning
Family and friends
Good food
Balance
The night sky

And yes, my post in The Cosmos Thread spurred the thing! :D

Discovering awesome things, namely music, that you've known about for a long time but never properly paid attention to. But when you finally do it blows you away.

All the above.

Plus, the satisfaction that only a man can feel, when he breaks wind and gets it to change note 3+ times.

Deep down, you know I'm right.

Sweet, I found one of mine as well. He was boxing on the deck of his ship in the middle of the Pacific.

If you think about how random and chaotic the universe is, you are pretty damn lucky to exist.

Just ordered a load of albums from amazon. Every time this happens I go "ok only get enough for free super ship saving" - 5 albums later "damn it!"

But then they arrive and I get over it.

People's reactions to the term 'intelligent folk music' are wonderful. they run the whole spectrum of emotion from amused to critical to out-and-out angry.
