Well, all I can say is that I think that this is the best Gorillaz album yet, and I'm glad that Damon made an album that had even more flow than Demon Days. There wasn't a real weak point in the whole album, and the pressure kept on going until the album stopped, which is what I love when I listen to an album.

The songs I liked the most, however, were Rhinestone Eyes, Superfast Jellyfish, Empire Ants, and Some Kind Of Nature. What I like about Rhinestone was the great synthesizers used (I think that Damon did some sick engineering with the synthesizers throughout) and how it formed together with 2-D's vocals and lyrics.

If you don't like Superfast, I feel sorry for you, because this is one of the funniest things that I have ever heard in my entire life (Look it even comes with a toy! Huhuhuh, I like that).

Empire Ants doesn't keep my attention at first, but when the beat changes and that great synthesizer that was resurrected from Stylo in the background, and the sweet vocals from Little Dragon.

But the real, real treat was hearing Lou Reed sing like that in Some Kind of Nature. It was a little sad to hear his voice sound all deflated like that (being 60 years old), but it fit eerily well. Especially on the lyric "And protect the girls/from the spiritual poison/that we expell at night" was so eased and toxic that fit the song like a warm glove.

Anyway, people are saying that this album was a testament to what Damon Albarn thought about the climate of the world, but I say different. I feel that the Plastic Beach is a place where the world poured all of their refuse into, and noone cares about it. So, when the Gorillaz come across it, after being chased away by Bruce Willis (lol) they came here, and finally found the peace that they were looking for, on an island made by what the world forgot.

Demon Days was very very mediocore I thought, and better for singles.

This is a better album.

This albums is superb. Weird not to see a mention about their debut here though... I'd say it's quite a bit better than Demon Days, but comes second just about to the debut. Good job, Damon
