Lucia y el sexo (very intriguing!)
Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain (very moving!)
Spun (a movie about drugs like requiem for a dream; also with bizzarre filming edits; very nice)
Girl Next Door (a very lightweighted teen movie but I felt connected with it being in a romantic mood)

I highly recommend all of them![/quote

I'm downloading "Spun" at the moment, you made me curious.

I have "Spun" on my hard-disc, i'll look at it tommorow and let you know if i like it.

I just have seen Spun and yr right it's about drugs, and very bizzarre filming and i do like it, but i don't see the comparison with Requiem For A Dream sorry.

I just downloaded: Begotten from E. Elias Merhige [1991] a black and white movie with no sound. It's horror and fantasy! For those who like experimental movies. 8)

You should look at " Baise Moi ". It could be a strickingly effective public service announcement against the dangers of casual sex if it weren't for the fact that the 2 women Manu and Nadine like to murder strangers, male and female, indiscriminately even if no sex is involved. "Baise Moi" is a combination of porn and heavy violence from the year 2000, a real shocker.

Well I saw 'Baise Moi' last night and was a tad dissapointed... It felt really amateurish compared to a masterpiece of shock like 'Irreversible'. It lacked a vital element of surreality; I need more than just female gun violence and penetration shots to keep me interested.

Hey D4VER, have you seen a film called 'Pink Flamingos'? I've heard someone eats dogshit in the film and thus I MUST see it!

I saw Silent Hill last night. It was ok I guess, pretty cool special effects but it seemed to drag on after a while being like 2 and a half hours long. I never played the video game (not much of a gamer anymore) so it took me a little while to grasp what was going on. There's some really creepy, nightmarish scenes though. The soundtrack was probably the best part, it was like ambient/industrial soundscapes. Does anyone know who did the music for this?

It's on my very long list to watch! The soundtrack is by: Jeff Danna and Akira Yamaoka. 8)
