I'm currently trying to get rid of the annoying skipping bug which came to light at the release of OoT3. I can make it sound better but this will be at the expense of the mixing quality so I'm trying to find a middle course.

btw, I forgot to mention that I had to cut off quite a few songs to make a smooth transfer. (this has nothing to do with the skipping bug)

Does this mean that the list given earlier is now inaccurate? Just trying to read you clearly.

No, the mix remains the same I only have to fiddle around with the way of mixing. The mix itself is done but I have to try different settings in the mixing software I use. If this doesn't work I might replace certain parts, if possible, with the original tracks.

What do you mean 'skipping effect' exactly? It sounds like a CD skipping or something?

Phasen: No, it doesn't sound like a CD skipping. It's a warbling sound which is mostly only audible in the lower continious bass/synth sound in non beat driven songs. I listened to Blue Ridge Sunrise to point it out to you because you know every single tune of it but I can't hear it in there.
I was never aware of this bug, until some artist pointed it out. I thought it was alright this time until I heard the draft of this volume on my home cinema set and my test listener pointed me some parts where it was very audible.

I'm currently working my ass off to filter out as much as I can. This is a time consuming task so I can't give an eta yet.

I don't know much about this, but it might be a dithering problem? Bad or excessive dithering can cause weird effects on the lows right? good luck with the fix mate!

EDIT: I'm probably totally wrong. I guess everyone submitted 16 bit WAVs anyway...so this wouldnt come into play. Either way, good luck- really looking forward to the final product!

Sounds plausible actually :p
Out of sheer curiosity I'd be interested to know what the problem is/was when you find out :)

This problem occurred to me once after the guy mastered one of my tracks, which had this low bassline, but it happened only to this track. And it happened one more time when we tried to make a mixed album, so basically this skipping occurred because of time stretching or something (when you change speed of the track). Anyway i'm not an expert here, just sharing my experience, maybe it'll help at least a little [:

Nice!

Is there like a boxset/4pack coming out, on which you can buy all 4 of them?

I have a few sealed copies lying around. Once I got OoT4 I can make you a pack and sort out the postage for you?
