(the important thing about this code is the 320 & 654 - they northings and eastings, note they recur 3 times in the second line of code - so i thought Triangulation... when you plot the points - we only plotted 2 - however from the passing road (A702) there is a small track which goes RIGHT INTO the points. It is a farm. and on that farm is a disused Quarry.. no im not sayinng that is the lcoation... but bizzare that a path leads right into the plotted points ! )

check the points below and the path leading into it



select topic in the drop down as great britian

and click open map

NOW

where it gets real cool

is if you close that window / go back and select select radio button "Grid Ref - AB12(3)456"

and input nt222506 (from code 1)

and hit open map

its the same map

The only problem is why is the original code point to a location almost 5km away ?

Now heres somthing else of interest...
Just north and then east of the propsed loaction is an actual OS traingulation point.
its on top of a hill in Ledburn.

Often prominent features on buildings such as the tip of a church spire or chimney stack are also used for triangulation. In the United Kingdom triangulation points are often set in small concrete markers, which as well as functioning as a triangulation point, also have a benchmark set into the side of the monument.

i wonder if the original code points to the real location
