^ I know, it'd be good fun, but seeing as Little_a_northern_soul2 will have just arrived, it's not really an option unfortunately.

I'll be there in spirit...

OK, so a quick update.

Tomorrow evening myself, Novayshun and Rikkiebags are heading out to check out the venue around dusk. I want to see just how isolated this place really is around the time of day we'd be there. Granted, it's a Sunday night not a Saturday, but I think it should give us an indication at least. I'm just hoping the weather picks up as if I was over there tonight I think there's a fair chance I'd get soaked to the skin

Assuming we all agree that the site is suitable, I'll give you all a little more info fairly soon to give people a fair chance of making their own arrangements for transport, etc.

You knows it.

Looking rainy and misty down here. Adding in the late hour, this could well be a bit of a disaster - still, the pub is warm and the cider is cold

Have to say, it's a relief to know I'm not the only mentalist on here

Gentlemen, it was a genuine pleasure, Thanks so much for your time and input.
Rikkibags - cheers for the pint and Novayshun, what a legend with that BOC sticker man! Appreciate it.

So it looks like we have a venue people. I'll write up a proper announcement over the next day or so.
Bloody hell, this thing is actually going to happen!

To be continued...

Think I need to de-mud my old Latitude tent. Is this camping on sandy beach or is this somewhere that'll take pegs?
I'll see you when the sun sets east, don't forget me.

Nice one for organising this.

I cant wait to see what this place looks like. Even more so, I cant wait to find its location so I can plan the journey etc.

Right then. Time to take this thing offline and separate the wheat from the chaff I feel.

All those who've expressed an interest thus far will be contacted over the next couple of days will full details. By all means feel free to chat here, but I'll be sending out the finer details via PM, at least to begin with.

***I'd ask those contacted to keep the location to themselves.***

All very cloak and dagger I know, but there is a good reason for this, which I'd like to take some time to explain here...

In a nutshell, I'd like to keep numbers manageable to give us the best chance of doing this without 'interference'. Suffice to say, we've already got around 20 people interested when I was really only envisaging around 10 or so people coming only. I'd really like this to stay a very, very friendly and chilled out thing. I don't want this turning into an old skool rave and I don't want us to make the front page of the local press. Even more importantly, I don't want us kicked off the site at 1AM, especially when several of you aren't local. Hell, I'm 'local' and even I live a 45 minute drive away. Once I've had a few beers I won't be driving anywhere so if her majesty's finest get called out, we'll be up a turquoise creek without a hexagon paddle

To be 100% clear, for all I'm taking the lead with all this, I don't consider this to be my event. It's our event - the Twoism collective if you will. We'll all have to do our bit to make this work. But for all that, I feel a sense of responsibility, especially as people are apparently willing to spend money and travel - in some cases silly distances - to come to this. Hence, I intend to do this right and that, I'm afraid, means controlling numbers.

So, if you've already said you're interested, great! Check your PM's over the next few days.

If, however, you're late to the party and still fancy coming along, PM me anyway. I'm sure we'll have a few dropouts, such is the nature of these things. I'll add people in if the opportunity arises. If you don't get to come along this time however, please don't take it personally. Remember, if this goes as well as I'm hoping, perhaps we'll run it on a semi-regular basis and this can become our version of 'those' red moon parties??

In other words, we need this one to go as well as it can. If it all goes tits-up, it buggers the whole thing for everyone, both this time and next time. So let's not let that happen.

Thanks for understanding.

So, with that off my chest, watch your PM's and I'll see you on July 6th, in a beautiful place down by the seaside... 8)

Just a quick update tonight folks as my tinterweb connection is playing funny buggers...

I've spent most of the evening incurring the wrath of Mrs Mexicola, due to my sitting on my arse, putting directions, photos, maps etc together. All of this will be online shortly and available for viewing.

PMs have been sent to anyone who has (a) expressed an interest and (b) isn't already known to me - asking for Facebook contact details. Check your PMs people!

The likes of IanRedpoint, Fugee, Techboy, Twoist, Novayshun and Rikkiebags - you guys don't have a message as I know you guys already on Facebook etc.

Anyhoo. More to follow shortly so keep em peeled.
