I agree and hope the crunchy/bitcrushed percussion isn't in many other tracks..

I think if that melody in the second half was a bit different, and some if the deeper layers were brought out more, the track would be incredible.

So far I've resisted listening to it. I heard 5 seconds of the Tokyo video and then switched off. I want to listen to the new album in its entirety for the first time when it's released, and don't want anything to spoil that experience
:P

It ain't going to spoil the experience, just because one word in the whole crossword puzzle is filled out, it doesn't spoil it. It just gives you a taster.

I've listened to it quite a few times now :)
Get it in your ear hole :P

I wanted to resist and wait for the full album to arrive, but I just didn't have the will power to not hit that play button, I'm now even more hyped than ever.

Second best part of the video (and prior Adult Swim teaser); for one of the scenes, Neil Krug was probably perched with his camera on the back of a pick-up yelling at the driver to do donuts on the desert sand. Wish I'd seen that..

To use another analogy, it's like a quick grope. I want full intercourse damnit. :P :P :P

BoC just made any other electronica/ambient band ridiculous. I'm in love with the new single, June 10th can't come soon enough.

See that several are mentioning Tangerine Dream in regards of Reach out, I also think the similarities are spot on, both in mood and sound. In fact have a look at their album covers, especially Stratosfear - Looks familiar? Listening to TDs early back catalogue whilst looking at the album covers, gives me a feeling of a mood board and something very much in line of the whole package of what we have been given of Tomorrow's Harvest (so far).

So the big question is: Will there be flutes on the album?

I'm guessing you meant that as a joke but still, I think that is a possibility. We heard hand drums in Reach, and together with flutes that is their 'tribal' hall mark. They use it to create an ominous, prophetic tone. And it works amazingly.

Well, flutes are quite prominent on Stratosfear, so thats why I half jokingly/seriously made that remark. But yes, if there are flutes, they will fit. Because it's BOC!

Lovely track and great video!
I'm interested to see how this sits within the album!

The production is lush and interesting to hear that kick drum on it own in the intro...

Well, I live in Tasmania, and I haven't seen either of them!

Sorry, Tasmanian in-joke: it's so small that everyone has met everyone, or knows someone who has..

.. but I might start looking for M. Eoins and M. Sandisons in the phone book...

I didn't find them either when I lived there for a few years, but... Don't you agree it would be an appropriate place for them to live, particularly around central Tas and the great lakes?

I actually saved scans of them and made them my desktop so I could recognise them if I ever did come across them.. I truly believed it was possible. Now I'm in Perth and they would never come there :x

Ha, yes, the central plateau reminds me of the Scottish highlands (never been to Scotland, but pictures, tv etc). Also, now that we have MONA and the MONA FOMA, it'd be the ideal kind of thing for them to perform at - intimate gigs by unusual and/or indie artists. I'd be blown away, though, if they turned up on the program for next year's FOMA, that'd be amazing!

If any of the reps from Warp are reading this... hinthinthint...

I would probably cease to exist if this happened.

How was this confirmed, I have heard rumours about 4 or so ears ago, but haven't heard or read anything that says so, that being said I haven't read every single interview or held my breath waiting for ever MDG announcement/confirmation.

If I'm being picky, and I mean really nit-picky, I think the sound used for the arpeggio could have been improved upon. It's a little too preset harp sound for me.
