You make a bold claim. If I understand your claim correctly, you state: for any x, where x is an object that is your property, it is not the case (ever) that you have to give an excuse if you decide to sell x. All it takes to falsify this claim is to provide one counterexample where it is the case that you seem morally obliged to provide an excuse for such an x. That is, I claim: there is some y such that y is owned by a person but he is obligated to give an excuse if he decides to sell y. Here's an intuitive illustration of the sort of case I have in mind: your dying grandfather gives you an important family heirloom, which he makes you promise (at his deathbed) to pass on to your offspring. You fall on hard times, and you have to sell it to buy food. Your mother finds out that you sold your grandfather's heirloom, and she knows about your deathbed promise. She wants to know why. In other words, she wants an excuse to mitigate your culpability, at least.

What do you think, does that case satisfy my existentially quantified statement above? If so, your claim is false. Sometimes, you have to give at least some excuse for selling your own property.

You didn't address my argument. Anyway, you don't know me, and you don't know my "moral ground". I was only interested in the logic (if any) behind your claim, hence my thought experiment. Try not to draw any conclusions about me personally on this basis, as I really don't have strong feelings about this woman's sale of her property. Rather, I have my doubts about her reasons for it, and about the timing involved.

your understanding of capitalism is that of a 6 year old - in fact the market being up or down or the ability to trade doesn't have much to do with capitalism at all and would happen even if we had banter rather than money, let alone capital - it's not as if a tape was on the city of london, and it's even debatable in which circumstances you can call it "property" at all

but as for me i have no issue with the fact that she is selling them, i just think that whoever bids on this is an idiot and that there is something else at work than simply trade when you deal with collectors

also, that something is the way it is doesn't mean that you have to like it or that by saying that it should be otherwise you don't understand how it is

i guess this is not the place to actually discuss capitalism (which is sad because if you say some superficial shit then it's ok and you look very clever and realistic but if you try to actually discuss then you're a loony and also a pedantic loony)
