Oh defiantly Gyroscope that song always had a slightly unhinged feeling about it and in the past I used to skip it but now I love its randomness and darkness.

Funny watching the movie 'Sinister' and all the way through it I felt I was watching a fan made BOC video every time I seen the super 8 footage parts of the movie and then low and behold Gyroscope kicks into the soundtrack.

It was defiantly the highlight of the movie tho I got strange stares from my fiancée over my excitement of hearing a boards track in a movie. "why am I with you again?" I think was her exact words :D :)

Definitely You Could Feel the Sky. The way all the sounds of the song go together create a really unnerving atmosphere. Probably why it's possibly my favourite BoC tune.

Did anyone say audiotrack 8b yet? That one almost sounds too deliberately creepy to really scare me, but still, that's some real deal silent hill shit. That song is awesome though, I wish it were longer.

I want to do so many creepy little stop motion animations to those 35track songs.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

I posted a video of it, it's definitely the creepiest BOC track, no contest.

If I ever do a marionette ballet based on The Ring I'd definitely use 8b in it.( I'll probably never do a marionette ballet.)

Oh yeah.... That one sounds like it's straight out of an old 80's horror flick. Reminds me of A Nightmare On Elm Street for some reason.

Oh yeah for sure, I get that too. It definitely has that 70's / 80's horror film soundtrack vibe to it. Especially when the guitar comes in. Maybe even like something John Carpenter would do...? It's a good track and quite creepy but sort of slightly cheesy at the same time, but maybe they were self-aware of that when they made it.

It sounds like it'd be in Earthbound to me. Same with House of Abin'adab actually.

it's actually quite funny that you say this. When I heard the track, I actually thought of a crackling black and white video of a girl with black hair in her face, slowly creeping towards me to the melody of the track.

gives me chills. o.o

So, I've finally listened to TH enough to form a real opinion.
I must say, Jacquard Causeway, Semena Mertvykh and Uritual are way the fuck above a lot of things on Geogaddi in creepiness.

Not sure about creepy but several BOC songs do have a very haunting atmosphere for me, including:

- An Eagle in Your Mind: The way the bass line fades in always gives me chills. The main melody reminds me of Melissa Juice, except where MJ sounds genuinely upbeat and happy, AEIYM sounds like the happiness of a sociopath. My favourite track from MHTRTC, actually.

- In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country: Surprised to see this wasn't mentioned more often. The slow organ is what makes this song so seductively sinister. As someone else mentioned, it really does feel like some kind of brainwashing music.

- Corsair: This I find one of the most intensely emotional pieces BOC ever wrote. There's a strong feeling of death or near-death. Slow This Bird Down always felt like a full-length revisit of this song.

- Gyroscope: Nothing to add about this song that hasn't already been said.

- Twoism: The soundtrack to one of those nightmares you have when you have a fever. Not the kind of place you want to stay...
