Anyone reading zeoevil's old thread linked from the Whitney Houston one knows about/was reminded of the Orphul Binuswaide/New Clear Dawn thing.

I'm not sure if this passes the smell test for me - I tend to believe the remix is real, but it almost feels like someone piggybacking some fakes to a legitimate find. The HQ Hell Interface logo is...interesting, but the music itself feels almost too slight for their respective eras. Reading various interviews and listening to R35TT gives you a pretty good idea of the various interations of their sound throughout the early 90s.

In particular, I look at the supposed 1992 clip. 1992 is when Closes Vol. 1 was "released" - I believe in my heart of hearts that all of the synth-y stuff on R35TT comes from this release. This all goes back to when "Godever" showed up on file sharing networks many years ago, long before any of these tapes leaked. When R35TT came out, that track turned out to be A14. If you listen to R35TT and keep that sort of "sound" in mind, you'll find a lot of music in a similar vein, which ties into the fact that Closes Vol. 1 is by far their largest early release, at least in terms of the number of tracks. The 1992 track seems too dissonant and all over the place to fit in with what they were doing in that era, which was this sort of very tight, simplistic synth-y music. There's nothing saying that all of the music they made in a given year has to hang together very well, but it just doesn't feel RIGHT for some reason. Hope I'm wrong.

Both of these clips seem most similar to what they did with Duffy on Acid Memories. Even then, I always got the feeling that Play By Numbers (for obvious reasons) and Acid Memories are their more full band, rock oriented releases (Duffy aside, as some sort of intro track)

I'm holding out on getting my hopes too high. The uploader of these videos didn't disable comments like all of the other Boards accounts did. I don't know, just doesn't seem consistent with what they've been doing so far. And the two other snippets are nice but don't sound much like early BoC. I'm putting my money on this being a troll until we get more info.

I agree with pretty much everything Opothecary says there ^

Not all are fake. Juilan cope and Incredible String Band are very real.

Also, in Zeoevil's thread, Herzog (great username btw) mentions that Orphel Binuswade is an anagram A Published Owner.

I'm calling fake on these but I still like the sound of them.
I swear I've seen that image of the kid with the hexagons somewhere else before.

That's a title from a DEVO track (well a little track stuck on the end of the song Gut Feeling).

simple reverse image search. seems like the image has been floating around for a while, probably off of some old tape or something.

im calling it a troll at least until mdg pops their head out. the timing of the leaked "How Will I Know" track does seem like its in synch with something else though... like it was planned almost. pfrt...

Pow!

Bookmarking nearly everything I find interesting on the internet does have it's advantages. The other picture of the deer in the snow is there too, although on the video the colours look like they've been inverted or something.

If this is some sort of precursor, the Whitney Houston would be the smart track to "leak" as I can imagine that it would be difficult to obtain some sort of licensing agreement to officially release that specific song. I'm not sure how deep down the rabbit hole I want to follow this theory yet, though. This is interesting.

This stuff, if it is BoC sounds more like Hooper Bay to me. It's very dry and ominous. Like what would be an early foray into the "Geogaddi" style. But then again, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The more I listen to the remix, the more it feels like the real deal, the same way the RSD teaser did.

I've given the samples a few listens and they feel less and less authentic. I probably spent 2006-2012 listening to a lot more OT/R35TT than anything else in the catalog, so I feel like I've developed some sort of decent subconcious bullshit detector for music purporting to be that from that era.

Also, why not just post the remix to the official Hell Interface channel if this is all coming from a real source?

They sound a bit too... Ableton Studio analog effects to me.

Almost certainly a fake. This is the nail in the coffin for me:

The video for the remix has the Hell Interface logo as background. Which I don't think we've ever seen in that resolution before..

Am I not correct in saying that that image is no more Hi-res than the image used for Hell Interface's Last FM page:

There's nothing on this channel that's exclusive, other than the two songs that otherwise have no connection to BoC. And they sound like they were made in modern software. Notice how the tape noise floor is transposed along with the chords.

Something that also got me besides the tape noise is that there are a handful of BoC songs without drums. Here are two, lacking BoC's sound, and also lacking drums.
