not a full cover, but i just got my new synth (arturia microbrute) today, and it's so good.
i've only been kinda farting around learning it for a few hours but i've already come up with a roygbiv bass sound that pleases me....

Even if it is bad at least whoever tried to do this was trying to do something. I can't play very well or make music that great either, yet I still enjoy doing it and see value in the creative process. So to whoever made the above cover albums keep doing what your doing cause being creative is so important. Boards of Canada inspired me to try and make music, don't let peoples negativity get you down or stop you from doing what you are doing because I appreciate people who try and be creative and a lot of other people do as well.

And to those who laugh and snigger, please keep your opinions to yourself if they are not constructive criticism. I would have expected more from BOC fans.

Fair enough. It's lame to slam artists when there isn't any arrogance or hubris on their part (which seems to be the case here). If you're reading this 'A God With Horns' keep on producing buddy; what you've made incited a reaction within me and, positive or negative, sometimes a reaction of any kind is indicative of art with some substance. I sincerely apologize for my nonconstructive criticism.

I'm amazed it took me this long to even find this. Indeed, I made that little EP thing that seems to be universally hated by the few people mentioning it here. I also noticed you posted the Aquarius cover I put up on YouTube, thanks to whoever linked that. What I fail to understand, if you didn't like the EP to begin with - why even post it here? Was it the sheer general lack of covers available, therefore the desire to fill the thread a bit more? Either way, what's done is done, obviously. Frankly, I generally release everything I do and at the time go "wow this is so much better than (insert previous release here)". I've since released about 90 new things, so you can imagine how little I care about this one at this point in time. Though I must admit I did put a lot of effort in to the Beautiful Place one, and less into the others - though as you can obviously tell - I wanted to be different. Most were slapdash, done in a very short period of time, and without much intent to be 100% true to the originals. Again, that much is obvious. I like some of it, still, but I've developed more since. I generally don't make a lot of rhythmic tracks, at least not around that time period.

Of course, it's cool to have some feedback, even if it is spite and non-constructive from most angles. Really, this was just something to do because I had the time, yknow? I'm sure some of you here who do your own tunes have those moments. Anyway, I've said my bit. I don't really like how some of you took to it, but hey - who wants to here "holy shit this is bad" regardless of how much effort put into it? It certainly wasn't a "troll", anyway. If I may post something unrelated to covers, just to sort of show some improvement on this, have a track I did for a fundraising album not long ago: http://touched.bandcamp.com/track/windowman

Take care, forums; I probably won't be back unless I stumble across it by mistake like I did this time.

Wow, EYDIAB is especially good. They should polish them and do some better recordings. Sunshine Recorder and Dawn Chorus too, please.
