Update.

So, using a hex decoder on the 3131203131203139 gives you --> 11 11 19
a hex decoder on the title of the video gives you --> november 19 2019
and the hex decoder used on string found on the page linked in the video gives you --> check back here

All I know is, I really love that song in that video. Also, for a brief second you can see some stuff pop up in the bottom of the video. It appears to be audio controls for a media player or something.

Well, the plot thickens! Both this story and Mex's are intriguing. I wonder if it is just coincidence that both stories contain a David Bowie reference.

Hmmm....

I'm curious how negamuse knew that rot-17 was the key to deciphering the code on the album label. That's not a common rotation number (from what I've recently read, anyway) and it's really what opened up this ARG/LARP thing.

I can say this is pretty fun and I'm genuinely interested in hearing more music from whoever this is. So, congrats to those involved with the build up. Well done.

In any event, this is pretty fun and I'm genuinely interested in hearing more music from whoever this is.

It could be that he used something like this http://theblob.org/rot.cgi

The strangest part about all of this is Techboy mentioned that http://www.303156.org appeared on this board back on August 30. I can't seem to find where it was posted at. Was it removed?

Also, Milford Morrell's youtube channel was created that same day.

Perhaps August 30th was some sort of false start?

I am also enjoying this mystery. If the rest of the music is as good as the stuff in that video, I am all in!

She :) And yeah I found a website that lets you scroll through the different rotations.

And yep the website did appear on this board a while back with a thing to decode and I posted on that thread too, but the whole thread was removed... I forget what it was but it didn't have all the music and visuals though

OK. Sorry to spam here but you know, no edits :-)

The text string "RzRaVElNQlRHTVpUQU1aVEdNWVRHTkpUR1laRUtOWllHWVlUT01BPQ" is no longer in the source code, if it ever was (I don't doubt it was, I just didn't see it personally). That base64 decodes to G4ZTIMBTGMZTAMZTGMYTGNJTGYZEKNZYGYYTOMA= which looks like it should decode again, but I can't get anything out of it, and I wonder if we were supposed to see it even given it's not there now.

Likewise, the cached version from google that links to the bandcamp has 62636A68206364776E6D in a comment in the source code, which is ascii "bcjh cdwnm", guess what, rot17 encoded again, "stay tuned". Which, uh-huh. (I didn't go in on that cached page before in case this was a Twoism recs thing, cos it felt like we weren't supposed to have seen that but if you pinkie swear it's not you behind this, Mexi  )

No idea on the matrix of 9 three digit numbers in that graphic on the last page, except it seems odd that it's counting down 987 654 32 if you read them column wise... think that's used up my GCHQ-fu for the day.

Not Twoism Records. Scout's honour.

there is another thread going on at r/codes https://www.reddit.com/r/codes/comments ... posted_by/
looks like they have found a bunch of info. looks to be related to a band called "eloutril"? anyone heard of this band? eloutril.bandcamp.com is taken, but if there's music on there it's hidden...

Looks like someone used an old video recorder to film a television displaying pictures of a Mediterranean asphodel field

It appears to be the same terrain that is at the bottom of that album cover.

So did this whole thing dry up? That's a shame.

I think the campaign accomplished what it was intended to do.

Doesn't look any different in terms of vegetation, it's just heavily edited on the cover and very dim in the video

I meant that the campaign was successful in generating awareness of and interest in an artist called eloutril, who I assume is releasing music in November.

(Not on Twoism Records.)
