Hoping for your help! I’m cultivating a playlist of music that sounds exactly like BOC. (christ. and Clocolan are great examples.) I realize that music is super subjective so hoping to avoid suggestions such as Autechre, Tycho, Locsil, Aphex, Bibio, etc. While these artists are all uniquely incredible in their own right, they sound nothing like the brothers IMHO. Here’s my growing list so far. Truly appreciate your recommendations.

Cheers,
Brendan

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

This album, while noisy at its core, has many background melodies that remind me of BoC:

Could only find this trailer and song, not the full album but it's worth checking out if a bit of saturation layers doesn't frighten you.

I definitely feel that Ciaran Byrne should be on this list:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=786SmuuD8WY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LzzhfbUVJs

Lovekrafty is another really good one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTlkmlDn6Gs

If you haven't heard dr. Crow, I Presume? then I definitely recommend him. He's not an exact BoC-Alike, but is pretty close in style and his sound design is on point in my opinion:
https://soundcloud.com/drcrowipresume/d ... -mountains
https://soundcloud.com/drcrowipresume/hormigas
https://soundcloud.com/drcrowipresume/granular-cluster

Another good one is The Fade Beta. They did a collab with Dr. Crow that was amazing:
https://soundcloud.com/thefadebeta/thef ... ing-teaser

Theres a guy that I recently found on youtube. He doesn't have much stuff but its really really good. Goes by Westfallian.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji9hESwJo2g

maybe one day I'll make the list haha... Although my stuff is probably not close enough stylistically.

Thanks to all who made suggestions to help add to my growing "BOC'ish" playlist. You offered-up some truly incredible artists whom I hadn't previously known.

In case anyone in interested, I'm listed my playlist by artist in alphabetical order. (For artists who produce albums of varying sound and style, I've included my picks in parenthesis.) Will update as I discover new music that caries on the legacy of the brothers' signature sound. Enjoy!

I have a few more to possibly add to the list:

Tennyson has at least one really good one that sounds a lot like BoC. Most of his other stuff doesn't, but you may consider adding these (especially the first one):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRGSWByz_SI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7ymf7pLLjw
If you haven't heard Tennyson's other stuff, I recommend checking it out. Not really like BoC, but really really good nonetheless.

Ciaran Byrne has another project called Happiness Cage that is really good. These two are my favorites:

https://soundcloud.com/happiness-cage/b ... in-the-sky

There's one song by Principles of Geometry that instantly screams BoC. Their other stuff not so much, but this one for sure:

Also, I said I wasn't gonna, but I guess I'll go ahead and shamelessly plug my own stuff here. Maybe it will make the cut:

@Helicoid

Appreciate your artist recommendations and your music is wonderful BTW! I just purchased your album 'Binary Forest' through Bandcamp. (It made the list no questions asked :D.)

Curious, how can I purchase the other 2 songs you recommended: 'Quadrangle Collusions' and 'See You Soon'? And, do you have any other releases out there that I can purchase?

Hey thank you so much for the support!! I really truly appreciate it!! I'm actually saving "Quadrangle Collusion" for a new album I'm trying to put together (finding time is so hard). That track is not even fully complete yet though and I imagine it will be a bit less repetitive for an actual album release. I'm considering putting "See You Soon" on the new album as well, but unfortunately I no longer have the project file for it and the only rendered file I have for it is an mp3. I accidentally reformatted my hard drive with all my stuff on it a while back. I actually lost all the project files for the entire album "Binary Forecast". Its taken me a long time to recover from that. I want to properly release See You Soon, but I really hate the idea of having a lone mp3 quality song among a bunch of high quality wavs. Who knows, maybe I'll bounce the whole thing to tape and then re-record as wav. I still haven't decided.

In the mean time, I've made "See You Soon" and "Quadrangle Collusion" downloadable directly from my SoundCloud. Also, heres another I'm working on for the album (its far from finished):

https://soundcloud.com/mhredox/cruel-ob ... ce/s-Vpo9C

Its downloadable as well. I have no problem sharing everything with you guys on here! I'm planning on making it a free release anyways. I just like to release everything all at once for continuity.

Thanks again for the support! It means a lot!

Much appreciated for the link. Please be sure to post your final produced album to Bandcamp and I encourage you to set a minimum price. (As a graphic designer, I gladly support all artists for their hard work and effort that goes into the creative process, and you should be properly compensated.) I've accidentally deleted projects before in the past and I know how painful it can be to lose content and have to recreate it from scratch. Best of luck to you!

Survey Channel is amazing and their new release ‘Along the Wind Spear’ is equally incredible. I highly encourage everyone to check it out. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks a lot for listening and picking up my work Brendan - very much appreciated. I had a feeling BOC fans would dig it but I'm not one to be annoying and pester others to listen to it. I've got some good stuff in the works so stay tuned and spread the word :)

Check out the artist 1991. You'll get nice BOC-vibes from his s/t debut and the album High Tech High Life.
Also: Perceival Pembroke: A course in the history of drones. Atmospheric landscapes that gives me the same feeling as BOCs shorter tracks.
