Read the forums for ages, but dont know why I never created an account before. I guess this thread may have prompted it, as I am half certain that reddit/clyp post has significance (or is a bloody good trolling attempt) and surprised no one is picking up on it, given the increased ‘activity’ and memories of the 2013 build up.

There are tonnes of layers to that drive by post. Like I said, its either a good troll (in which case, bravo) or something more...

bungler ... I hate to say it ... but this whole advert thing may well turn out to be Twoism's very own homebrew QAnon.

Years from now radicalized suburban parents in their late forties (AKA aged Twoism members) will be listening to Syro claiming that, as far back as 2014, Warp was hinting at BoC vinyl represses.

I don't buy that Clyp link as genuine - probably a troll. I think the sound clip lacks a certain subtlety. It sounds like someone went down a checklist and went all in on what makes up a BOC song.

My memory is foggy regarding the 2013 buildup at this point, too. But hey, wouldn't mind being wrong.

It's definitely intriguing, and not to say it's poor. I would love for it to be genuine. I heard some cool instrumentation in there but a bit heavy handed on the voice samples and other things. I don't put it past people to use situations like this to promote their work mysteriously and try to pass it off as BoC. Happens too often!

True. My rational side suspects its a clever trolling attempt or misguided homage. My irrational side wants a new album very much, and I would kick myself if it is a teaser/guide and gets overlooked.

Honestly, I don't think anyone could pass it off as a "track" there is nothing about it that says it was done intentionally for hearing pleasure. If anything it'll be alluding to something, hidden stuff, to which I don't think it is but I haven't listened to on headphones, but there is a hidden beat/track near the end, loads of backwards talking.

I'm just talking about the increasing social media likes/interactions. And I said, someone should just ask "is something happening?" and see if it likes it so people can actually know if they should be excited or not.

In regards to that advert, I jokingly called it "cruel and unusual for not being real"

To Bungler666, I still enjoyed someone making something like that! If that actually happened, I'd probably have a coffee fueled listening marathon in my room and not leave a second unplayed.

A good point - if it's a hint of some kind, it doesn't need to be of the same 'quality' that a proper track is.

I was thinking it might be some type of guide (if true) along the 2013 teasers.

I dont know what it means, but there are two sets of formula in there. 18x37 and 9x74. Both add up to 666.

Also the number 23 in there, which is Discordian.

Yeah IMHO it's not BoC (because, listen to it ) but I guess if you squint it does sound like someone trying to do a Geogaddi. The reversed speech samples are (when flipped back around) from "Psychedelic Prayers Adapted from the Tao Te Ching", not managed to pull the exact recording, and I probably can't be bothered. But I mean... Boards's sample digging tends to be a bit deeper and less obvious than that.

Would be nice to have this track in context, if it's from a bigger album. I'm sure it's an interesting project! But it doesn't sound like BoC to me, except if you say "reversed speech + effected synths = BoC", which is a bit of a big generalisation.

Nice work on flipping and tracking the samples. That is a bit disappointing, as you are right, BoC are usually more varied. I would like some clarity on the weird fragment though.
