Wouldn’t it be really cheesy for Warp to link BoC to Christmas? Got mixed feelings about that to be honest.

Normally, I'd agree wholeheartedly, (especially if this was last year) but if Warp are going for a Satanic Christmas miracle vibe for 2020, I'm all for it.

Too early to tell if there's a pattern in when these are being posted, but as you can see there are a couple of gaps. We have 4 remaining releases to get through before we reach the finish line, which will likely take us up to early next week.

Are BoC really going to release an album a few days before Christmas?

Also let me add that it seems they're saving most of the heavy hitters this year for the next few posts.

I've been following this thread for the last couple of months and I just saw someone post online elsewhere that Hexagonsun.com now shows a black screen. I seem to remember that it redirected to the bleep store.

So Lotus, Darkstar, Autechre...profit?

Honestly, even if it's not BOC, I think they're setting up for something fun here. I'm hyped regardless :D

Looking at the whois info for the hexagonsun.com website, we get this:

For Music70 we get this:

And for boardsofcanada.com it's the same thing.

It's basically saying 'none of your goddamn business'. And rightly so.

And you should probably just relax with trying to find stuff. We might be getting something nice from Warp soon. Might even be BOC if you're good for the holidays :P

They skipped a post last Wednesday so they may do the same again today, but if they decide to smash out posts for the rest of the week, they could complete the cycle on Friday, freeing up Monday 21st for any potential reveals. Wasn't that date previously significant for something, or am I making that up?

The website was made on 9/9/99 and set to expire 9/9/2021. Their fourth IG post was on 9/9/2020–funny to see that number continue to show up.

Looks like there is a pattern after all, as they skipped a post today. I guess that means no big reveal on the 21st.

There could be something on the 22nd but I'm not feeling optimistic in the slightest. I think we need to set our sights on 2021.

OK, so we got some activity today from Warp--https://bleep.com/advent-2020-day-16 -- text below:

For day 16 in our Advent, Warp has made two pieces of exclusive merchandise and are running a sale across their 2020 catalogue.

We have a Warp Logo Embroidered Purple on Black Hoodie to keep you warm during these winter months, and a Warp '89 Logo Slipmat Silver, taking you back to the days where DJs played to rooms full of sweaty people, instead of being live-streamed into livingrooms. Rewind!

We also have a sale across their 2020 catalogue, buy EVERY single digital release in their Warp 2020 Complete Digital Bundle at a 20% discount, or buy 2+ of Warp's releases from 2020 and get 10% off using code WARP10 at checkout.

Offer ends 24th of December.

This was related to Bleep Advent, not the Earth Catalog.

Regardless, I may have ordered that hoodie and slipmat

Yeah, I mean I linked to the Bleep website—but the Earth Catalog (https://earth.warp.net/) is something different than the Warp 2020 Campaign FYI.

Seems fair to say that there won’t be a last minute surprise release for 2020–this is just some good holiday season marketing.

Playing the Pollyanna here, but what would suggest that? If Warp are having their own "advent," those tend to end with surprises and goodies. At least in my household with the chocolate calendars and what not. :P

Just because they use this phrase: the "Warp 2020 Complete Digital Bundle," with a list of the releases! It's good marketing in that they are getting some buzz surrounding their releases this year and giving discounts to encourage more purchases--the advent goodies being the music and the discounts :)

Ah ok, I didn't see the "Complete Digital Bundle." But yeah, you're probably right about that. :)

Honestly, I've been more geared to that placeholder (if it is one, that is) being an announcement or perhaps a digital single (like Reach For The Dead) for an album on Jan 22nd 2021. I don't expect an album this year, but the one date I care about is the one that relates to something the band actually posted.

Why on the 22nd of Jan?
