... In that Fandom, the Art of Remasters attained such Perfection that the rips of Random 35 Track Tape occupied the entirety of Soulseek, and the rips of the old tunes, the entirety of Rareboc. In time, those Unconscionable Rips no longer satisfied, and the sound engineers struck Remasters of the Tapes whose clarity was that of the Tapes, and which coincided wave for wave with it. The following Generations, who were not so fond of the Study of Remasters as their Forebears had been, saw that those remasters were Useless, and not without some Pitilessness was it, that they delivered them up to the Inclemencies of Noise reduction, EQs and Fakes. In the Desert, still today, there are Tattered Ruins of these Remasters, inhabited by Animals and Beggars; in all the Land there is no other Relic of the Disciplines of Remastering and no Bocset in sight.

it is the real, and not the fakes, whose vestiges persist here and there Twoism that are no longer those of the brothers, but ours.

Welcome, to the desert of the real.

Can this be the liner notes to the Bocset please? They remind me of Gail Zappa's cryptic liner notes for her husband's posthumous releases
Warning: This numerology post is not to be taken 2 seriously.

Well put, I believe in digital degradation as a nostalgia veichle too, if that's what you meant, among other things.

Had a little BoC old tunes listening session on the 9th. I was thinking about how every day there are more and more attempts to 'remaster' what is essentially low quality source material. It seems we will soon get to the point where we will be so inundated with 'remasters' that tracking down those original rips is going to get difficult.
