I didn’t say it wasn’t legit smh I was making an outlandish comment.

Okay, well maybe someone will pop in here and let it be known if it’s something to worry about. Maybe not. I think it’s a joke.

I will be honest, this is what the next Oneohtrix Point Never album is going to look like. He's already half way there anyway with the Weekend and whoever/whatever Arca is. :P

Judging by who BOC remixes, I have a good feeling we'd be safe from that. They've got much better taste in collaborators than OPN, preferring to remix local artists, friends or musical greats.

Edit: If this actually has to do with them, it's definitely an attempt to take the piss out of their legendary status. Much like "I Feel Good."

In terms of newer IDM artists, I much prefer Flylo if you can't tell

Hey hey we're not here to hate on pop music- Nicki Minaj, Drake, & Frank Ocean (although I don't seek out their music) have some credibility.

This lil trust tangent is a hilarious nightmare tho

Flying Lotus is sick! Thundercat is a madman too, love that guy.

i strongly disagree with your take on OPN, but whatevz 8) most of my best friends have at least one opinion that disturbs me lmao.

by the looks of it, we'd probably agree on a lot :P

Of course, especially by being on a BOC forum alone. BOC is the best electronic act ever and that'll never change for me. I'm sure we both agree it would be mindblowing if they release something new, Slurpyland notwithstanding.

And yeah, Flylo to me is one of the best things to happen to IDM since the initial 90s boom. Some of the best off-the-wall percussion sounds since Aphex, Autechre and later BOC set the scene.

Ya'll should check out the h3 stream of Reggie Watts, Flylo and Marc Rebillet while we wait for the new album. Not a full out h3 supporter but they have occasionally fantastic guests and this is special.

On connective tissue, I discovered Flying Lotus and Boards of Canada through Adult Swim (though I had downloaded Twoism before that at the behest of a radiohead recommended influential artists thing on the net somewhere) but I heard TCH snippets and then read up on them more.

This thing is just a scam by the Lil trust artist really. I had another track appear in my Release Radar last friday (not the same artist though) where it had both Flying Lotus and Bibio featured just like BOC is featured here (edit and yet another one with Floating Points and Mount Kimbie featured). So its really clear this is just a way for these no name artists to get some plays from unsuspecting fans.

Yeah, this has been happening with loads of other artists. Random scam/bot spotify singles being registered under popular names.

Lil Trust has that heady festival sound, I hate it. Spandex, body odor, mushrooms, and too many saxophones in every set

Warp are seeking a new supply chain manager by July 5th. Makes you wonder if they need someone to oversee a lot of worldwide purchases because a huge group will be releasing something soon. ;)

This year, Warp's only released niche products, so they probably didn't need help, but I get a good feeling that they're going to drop something big so they're asking for help now.

Friendly reminder a CD or Cassette can be just as convenient and portative as Spotify and will never try to dupe you into thinking something is by Boards of Canada. To add on top of it, it will generate more revenue for the artist you like.

And mp3 players are super small now.

I hate Spotify and the corporate music industry, but I could never listen to the sheer amount and variety of music I currently do on CD. I do try my best to support my favorite artists, though (BOC has gotten a lot of my money).

Does anyone else hear a little sample from "Open The Light" in the new remix? Or at least it sounds similar. Love their part, the voices remind me of 90s dirty south rap.... not sure if I'm feeling it yet.
